As a muslim i can assure you that green is not a symbol colour for islam, but chosen by individuals or countries or organisations to be a colour representative of islam.
Look at the flags of pakistan, bangladesh, and obviously saudi arabia... although there are exceptions to it, eg italy and ireland.

It seems so. You cannot say that every green is muslim, but you can say that every muslim country use green in their flags. Also Shi'a use green for people who are related to Muhammad and his family!
