Both the Quran and the Hadiths claim that Muhammed is the final prophet. But the Quran also says that Jesus was a prophet. It goes on to say that Jesus will return to the earth in the end days. Wouldn't this make Jesus the last prophet? Does the Quran contradict itself once again?

that is a good point. another follow up question would be, if Jesus was just a prophet, why is it necessary that he must return in the last days according to islam to tell every christian that they did not follow him correctly? If Jesus was such an important figure in islam then how come Christianity resulted from Jesus's death and not islam? wouldnt that make Jesus the biggest failure of all prophets in islam?

Muhamed (pbuh) is the last prophet...Jesus's return doesn't make him a new prophet after Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) because he already was there before Prophet Muhamed....And he will return not with a new religion but as a follower for Muhamed(pbuh) and he will pray behind Muslim Imam as in the Hadith of his return..Praying behind Muslim Imam means that he isn't coming with something new after Prophet Muhamed (pbuh) but only means that he will continue his path as a follower.

Technically speaking, it doesn't seem like Jesus was the last prophet. Especially since Jesus came before Muhammad did. Just because he returns, does that negate the fact that he came before Muhammad?

You seem bent on finding flaws in another religion that you neither follow nor understand. You also seem to forget (conveniently) that the Bible itself also has many contradictions. Does these minor contradictions make your religion less valid? No. I'm sure you would be the first person to defend these contradictions in one way or another.

Please be open minded in respect to another person's beliefs.

The reason of second coming of Jesus is because he was the only prophet of almighty God whose followers think that he claimed divinity. That's why he will come again, and we Muslims also believe in the second coming of Jesus pbuh. In his second coming, he will not teach us anything new. Prophet hood has been sealed by the last and final messenger Prophet Muhammad pbuh. He will come to testify the followers and clarify the misconceptions of Christians and he will tell to Allah (swt) " Ya Allah, you be my witness that I never told them to worship me. I never told them to call me the begotten son". According to Muslims believe, Jesus will also break the cross in his second coming.

He will come again for the Christians and will not teach us any new teachings. The prophethood has been sealed by the last and final messenger. Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

Al-quran(33:40) Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.

No, Jesus was many years before prophet mohammads life, It is based on chronological order.
Jesus will come back but his prophethood started many years before the prophet Mohammad therefore he is the last.
I hope this helps.

contradicts itself again?
i dont see any contradictions there!! however your eyes see what you want them to see. your hate for Muslims and Islam has blinded your eyes.

Jesus came before Muhammad. we believe that Jesus never died and he'll come back and die naturally.
but the message of Jesus came BEFORE Mohammed's message this makes Muhammad the last prophet.

A very good book to read that will address these questions is "The False Prophet" by Ellis Skolfield. It is based on years of research and presents a plausible interpretation of the prophecies of Revelation, Daniel and Zachariah. You can read this book entirely online in a couple of hours. See site attached. It is a very interesting book. Best wishes to you in your search for truth.

yes it does contradict itself, probably why the fundemantalists are able to exploit the writings of the Quran and reinterpret it according to their values. Seeking to establishe conservative values is a step backwards.
