Or do you think you would try to fight for Him and try to maybe eleviate His pain?

I am a coward ...

Unfortunately I would have probably stood and watched (in horror and empathy).

Cordially,
John

Truly, I thank God I wasn't there that day because I don't think I could have stood it. I'm pretty emotional anytime my 3 year old get's a scratch! I can't imagine watching my Saviour being crucified. The sight, the sounds, the smell.

I can't even read it without bawling uncontrolably. I saw the stage play and it was just one of the hardest things I've ever forced myself to sit through.

Thank God for Jesus.

It may be kind of hard for you to understand, BUT without Christ being crucified...we wouldn't have Salvation as a free gift or Eternal Life.

It was something that had to happen in order for the will of God to be completed. "It Is Finished". The moment I TRULY understood what those three words really meant when Jesus uttered them-I was lifted up to a new level in Christ!!

That's truly something that I so desire for saved people to realize is that we have Victory in Jesus, because IT IS FINISHED. Everything we come up against in life, Everything we are faced with in life...I mean...ANY & EVERYTHING, if we are in Christ, We have ALREADY been GIVEN the VICTORY over the trial, over the temptation, over the situation, over the circumstance, over the problem, over it ALL.

The reason Jesus tells us to FEAR NOT nor be afraid- is because It Is Finished. There is NOTHING to fear because He's already overcome it. If we're fighting something, it's because we are trying to do it our way instead of receiving the Victory that God has already APPOINTED there for us.

Praise God!!! Hallelujah!!!

I encourage every saved person from this moment on to receive what's already been appointed. It Is Finished!

Blessings & Honor to the Lord Most High.

****If you were in the crowds on the day that Jesus was crucified, would you just stand and watch? ***

Yes, I'd have stood there and watched.
According to what is said about this happening it was predestined. Nothing i could have done
would have made a bit of difference.
Well, except maybe if i had my camera i could of got us some good accurate pictures.

Have a blessed day.

Hello!! :o) IF I knew WHY Jesus was being crucified [while I was watching it happen] I wouldn't fight to stop it from happening. But I would [if I could] try to comfort Him physically and relieve Him of some of His pain. I would not interfere with the only opportunity man has to be forgiven of his sins. Craig!! :o)

Did you read of any of the people doing differently.
Most of the people didn't have a clue who Jesus was.
They thought it to be a form of entertainment.
It was a very boring life.
Did you hear of any trying to help Him.
No, why, it was supposed to happen.
It was ordained by God to happen.
If it did not happen, we would still be in our sins, still lost.

Some people think it was the Jews that killed Jesus.
It was the religious and the government that killed Jesus.
The Roman Government and the religious Jews.
The rest of the people didn't have a clue.

OLAY!

I would hope that I would have done as the others did, for the most part. Of course, I would hope that I would not deny him 3 times, as Peter did.

I'm sure that Peter was very glad that Jesus forgave him that, and went on to use him to further the good news.

Noone can truly answer that question. You know what you'd like to do, but when it comes down to it, you don't know what you'd do in any given situation until it happens. And as someone has already pointed out, it had to happen. I'd like to think I would fight for Him, but the majority of His followers deserted Him, just as He said they would.

AHA ! Good question !
If I am allowed to keep my understanding of The Word, yes. Even though it would literally break my heart to see Him suffer in person,I know He chose that path of His own free will for the salvation of ALL mankind.

I would probably get a very big sword and try to lay to rest as many crucifiers as i cud get my hands on. I would probably end up being crucified too, but it would pliz me that i send some evil people to hell.

I would probably cry over him dying because he is a family member to me, But as i cry i am sure he would say something like "Do not worry for thee will be with me in heaven"

So then i would stop crying and just pray to God that he makes it safely.

I wouldn't have been in the crowd in the first place, I'm much too squeemish. I would have walked away and felt guilty I'm sure.
