Are clones without souls? Two different beings cant share the same soul, can they? And if they do have different souls, there was no creation of that soul via conception. Which makes said soul man-made, correct or no?

No bashing please, its just one of many questions I have to help guide me into deciding to place my faith in science or a Higher Entity.

So, if every life "is" a soul, that makes said soul man-made right? It was not created using the miracle of conception...

Well, human beings have never been PUBLICALY announced as being cloned. I would venture to bet it has been at least attempted, if not done already.

Many people don't realize this, maybe from seeing so many future movies, but, let's say you clone a person, we'll call him/her Person 1. The person's clone (we'll call him/her Clone 1) would come out as a baby...not as the same age, height, weight, etc. of Person 1. Although Clone 1 and Person 1 would have the same genetic information, how they look/end up being is greatly influenced by the environment they grow up in. So if Person 1 is a male who is wealthy, has a secure job, and lives in a very safe neighborhood, you could take Clone 1 and stick him in a less well-to-do neighborhood, maybe with more gang activity, etc. and he could grow up to be MUCH different than Person 1. I don't know if all that made sense, but basically: Even though the clone and person have the same genetic information, they are never the same age at the same time, and, furthermore, like anyone, are greatly influenced by their surroundings. Now, since the genetic info. is the same, you'd think that they would have the same soul. Depends what you consider a soul. Some people consider a soul the place that holds the memories of a person's lifetime, while others view it as a conscience, while still others view it as the way to get into a higher place after death. It technichally would be "man made" I guess, but since it comes from the other person, who was born from his/her parents, it could also be considered NOT man made. The soul could be argued either way: the soul is man made because it has the same genetic information as the person who was cloned ("Person 1"). Or it could argue: the clone and the "clonee", if you will, grow up with two totally different backrounds and memories...so each of their souls is unique and different. It all depends how the soul is viewed- anywhere from a "memory holder" to a "how to get into Heaven after death" kind of a thing. Hope this helps...and personally, I'd go with the Higher Entity.

Yes they would have a soul. life can't exist without one.
One of the answers you got says that they are property and would have no soul. I disagree with that assessment.
We put together the ingredients of life when making a clone, that is all.
If we ever do clone a human in the future it will be because God gives the knowledge to do so.
But to reduce life to ownership would be slavery, and if history has taught us anything. We really don't want to go there.
Whether we believe it's God that brings live or it just happens by nature, varies depending on ones believes. I choose to call it God, because to me what is nature after all but God.
We put together the ingredients of life when making a clone, but God still gives it life.
Man has never made life yet, but may someday in a machine or some other form.
Now we just play around with the building blocks.
Hopefully doing more good than evil. The real fear in all this is that those building blocks might be but together in some way that is incompatible to human life.
That threat does exist and I hope the kinder side of man wins this one.

i do no longer think interior the existence of a soul as an exterior subject. inspite of the undeniable fact that, i visit pretend I do for the applications of this question, because of the fact its extra relaxing that way. If a soul exists (ok, i'm being soul-agnostic), i might say it truly is the reason tension that supplies our bodies the... no longer skill, it truly is no longer what I recommend, yet figuring out on the splendid be conscious is quite no longer uncomplicated. The... tension to flow and behave in a undeniable way. The soul is the two the voice of judgment of right and incorrect and the abode of your recommendations. it truly is Freud's Superego to the physique's animal identity. it truly is each little thing that makes you a different individual particularly of a creature ruled by using organic animal instinct. Hm. i think defined like I basically did there I style of do believe in a soul (nonetheless no longer an exterior one that survives dying, although. there is basically no longer something to even somewhat convince me of that). truly it would be complicated to argue with it, so now i'm fascinated to work out what others have mentioned at the same time as I typed this.

I don't believe in the concept of souls..however that said, a clone is still an individual, in fact no to things are exactly alike and everything in our world is unique in some way...it's a copy maybe but it will have subtle differences and that's all it takes to make an individual...vive la difference!

Human beings are the only living beings that possess a soul! That is what makes us different from all of Gods other creation!
Human beings have not been cloned therefore your question is without merit!

There is no way now to create a healthy human clone. It would still have defects and according to science yes it has a soul. Souls do not have to be immortal to exist.

Well, not to make things more complicated for you, but since you're looking for different opinions...

Buddhists believe that a small subtle part of consciousness continues after a living thing dies, but it is not a 'soul' and it is not 'you' as you would normally think unless you have reached a state of 'clear mind' where can perceive yourself for the way you really are.

I would believe that clones would have souls also. Just because man put the cells together, it is still God that knits the DNA together.

Every Human has a soul, it doesn't matter if the person is "cloned" or has an identical copy, unless it's a robot. :)

Each clone has their own unique soul in the same way that each identical twin has their own unique soul.
