God created Satan, right? And God created free will, right? So didn't God invent evil, since God invented everything? Doesn't this mean in some essential way that God IS evil? And if God didn't invent everything, is there really a God? Please help me understand.

What Paul means in Timothy, when he says that he does not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

Also, if you can give me some cultural facts for a better understanding of this scripture, that would be great!

Serious answers please. Thanks for your assistance.

I Timothy 2:11-15
11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.

Christians Only:

People are saying that you aren't capable of using your logic.

As a Christian do you consider yourself a person incapable of reasoning?

Is it difficult to make decisions in your daily life because of your "lack of logic" you are "sacrificing" for believing in God?

Do you feel incapable of growing as a person and achieve your goals?

Has anyone ever heard this? I heard it from of all people a man trying to get me to go to seminary school. Five minutes after he said this he told me, and I quote "And don't worry, we don't let any of them ******* in here either" I was horribly offended. Isn't that kind of ironic?

And don't tell me the "render onto Caesar that which is Caesar's" includes military service. Jesus was asked whether it was lawful to pay taxes. He asked the questioner whose picture is on the coin. "Caesar" was the reply. Thus "render onto Caesar that which is Caeser's." Taxes, not military service.

So, where does -Jesus- condone violence of any kind, -including- military service?

...they have to invent 'scripture' to support their arguments when biblical scripture won't?

For example, earlier today I asked why God created a talking snake in Eden, yet no other animal talked. I was told it was Satan, tho' there is no scripture that claims Satan was permitted in Eden (and why would God let Satan into Eden, given that God is omniscient?).

When I asked whether Jesus condoned war or condoned people doing violence to others for any reason, I was told the "render onto Caesar that which is Caesar's" included military service. Yet that quote is a direct response to being asked whether it was lawful to pay taxes. Caesar's picture is on the coin, thus the reference to Caesar.

If they have to invent scripture to support their beliefs, why should I believe them when they tell me to trust the bible?
