According to the Malthusian Doctrine, proposed by Thomas Malthus, Human existence shall only cease if there is famine, war, disease, or any conflict of any nature( including food shortage etc). Some scientists disagree saying that "Natural selection" will be cause the immense human population to change even if in finite numbers. A recently published article suggests the world will end about 2036, by a meteor large enough to disrupt of destroy life on earth. Humanity, if not affected by this "sudden death" will persist until we change into a new species, in many 100,000 years at least. A rough estimate would be about 250,000 years from now. This much is almost certain!

Prophecy of Thomas Gibson Dec.7, 1995...
...So thus says the Lord. In a few years from now, you will be impaled on the brink of war. It will come with very little warning. I shall bring this war down upon upon you who think you can serve the world, and claim to serve Me, saith the Lord! In the year of 2005 you will have yet to see this war. But is will then be but a few moments in time, by the Spirit, till you will see it. It is close, it is coming, and no one can say, "I will hold it back, I will put a stop to it." I , the Lord, have made a decision to judge the evil hearts of the people, and I will do it? So it will be, that I have now spoken the year in which I will hold it back to: but by the year 2010 it will have come upon you!
Prophecy Stephen Hanson July 12, 2004
....You ask, "Can these things be prevented?" I ask you, Can you stop the full speed of a freight train as it moves down the tracks? Your sin has reached its capacity. Yet many choose to ignore these things. The land will be scorched and it will be changed forever. Your borders have been protected in the past but a time is coming when the walls will come down.
Stephen Hanson September4, 2004 ...Within a period of three years [Sept. 2007], this world will be ushered into the events of the Great Tribulation. These things are not far off. These things are not in the distant times.

!ell ants in the rainforest will decimate an area but not return untill the other insects have built their population back up , thus ensuring the whole ecosystem remains intact .Humans on the other hand could not care less aslong as they have more money and power than the next guy! However , hope remains in Pandoras box. Greed and the lust for Power could be it's downfall but hopefully that one in a 100 million guy or girl might save the planet! Extremely intelligent but morally decent!

I hope Humanity will last alot longer than people expect, we have alot to offer the world only if were willing to open our eyes, Throughout history we have diminished the natural resources of this planet long enough, Religion is at a pinnacle era due to many humans who realise thay Creation doesn't exist. We have this notion we have to believe in something else besides ourselves, as humans our talents to do good and bad things is limitless. Just hope we learn from our mistakes.
This isn't a bad thing for alot of religious people, they just have to come to terms with the science and factual evidence.
As for the downfall it will be ourselves for been ignorant and irresponsible to the world around us.

the last human will be alive when the earth is unable to sustain us- beyond our intelligences ability to cope with us degrading our environment.
The last person will probably be decended from dickheads, unless secularist, peaceful, environmentalists get our **** together.
You asked for a date- humans on this earth will probably be extinct in around 4,000 years.
I figure human civilization started about 4,000 years ago so if we're at our peak now, then after a few economic collapses, environmental changes and not enough fun, the last human will die with a whimper in a desert.
But we'll probably be in space, a few of us.
But i could be way wrong.

Islam will be humanities downfall. How long we will last depends on when we'll finally take enough punishment and have the guts to outlaw it worldwide.

It is already over.. We have rejected God and God is in the process of rejecting us. He is giving us a little time to repent, but I am sure that we won't so he will call an end.. Peace is already taken from the world and many negative things are happening. Don't be decieved if it doesn't happen overnight, it takes time for a great nation to fall. 2-4 years more or less..
Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

That is more of a scientific question rather than spiritual. I don't even think that humanity can destroy itself. Maybe civilization as we know will perished but humankind will continue to exist. A natural phenomena of galactic proportion, like meteor, may spell our peril.

I believe that the end of the world is very near. I believe that Jesus will be here soon. If you believe in the Holy Bible, then the answers are all in there. Although no one knows the time or place, the prophecies from the Bible are happening as we speak.
