Even though i don't agree with WhyNotAskDon on just about everything, i recognize him as a fellow human being and offer all of the respect that that deserves... So what's up with all of the people posing as him and ridiculing him?

Yea, i think the guy's got his problems too, but he is a fellow earthling and i think what some of you people are doing is shameful. Give the bloke some respect.

To me, a true martyr is someone who suffers, is tortured, or killed for Christ righteousness.

Also, who suffer for others sins or environmental sins.

I was fooling around with the goofy avatar setting and noticed that Yahoo has Christmas, Easter, Kwanzaa backgrounds, as well as gay pride, national out day, vote etc. When I flipped through the Christmas and easter I noticed there were no religious refrences to two Christian based holidays. Since they make sure to feature gay holidays why not give equal footing to a religious holiday? Include a cross background for those who want to choose as well as a Easter bunny back ground for those who are not religous.....Seems kind of discrimanatory...Any thoughts?

It disturbs be greatly that people will question, intensely, their cell phone service, a new car, Comcast Cable and even the style of clothes they wear more than their own supposed religion. Why is this? There seems to me to be only two explanations…1) You are afraid to question or 2) You were told it’s a sin to question.
I just don’t understand how a religious person can just blindly accept, without question, something they supposedly dedicate their lives to. You’ll question the performance of your laundry detergent more than your religion. That scares the **** out of me.

Every year thousands of desert animals fall to their deaths (mainly after nightfall) off the sheer cliffs of the Grand Canyon. This senseless loss of life can be stopped if we backfill the Grand Canyon. Please join Friends of the Desert at www.friendsofthedesert.org.

Things Creationists Hate
¤ Ice Ages: Very inconvenient! They have to have occurred since the Flood, since, according to creationists, the surface of the Earth was reworked by the Flood (to create, for instance, the Grand Canyon practically overnight), which would have messed up all those marks of glaciers on the landscape. That means mile-thick ice sheets had to advance and retreat again and again, across half the Northern Hemisphere, with the speed of freight trains. (As with plate tectonics, some creationists seem to have abandoned complete denial of ice ages [even though they're never mentioned in the Bible {How could the true history of the world miss those?}], and acknowledged a single ice age, which had to have occurred within historical times.)

I'm not disputing his great talents . As a child i felt very upset when he was murdered . However , as i grew older i thought yes John it would be great to live in harmony and peace , but did you ever give any of your great wealth to society?Or did he spend it on fur coats and penthouses ?It got me thinking after i discovered his killer Mark Chapman was reading ' Catcher in the Rye ' before he carried out his crime . I hope he was for real , maybe you could help ?

Philippians 2:9-11 says "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

- that means whether you reject God or not presently, one day you will bow down before your Creator and proclaim His glory. Now putting all your opinions aside on the authenticity of the Bible, assume it is true- How would you feel if you had devoted most of your time denouncing the existence of Almighty God and had to face His presence on that day?

The situation is this.
When my son died suddenly of Meningitis 4 years ago, my boyfriend (of about 2 years) moved in to be with me, as I was left on my own. At the time, I felt as though we were meant to be together, that God had led him to me, and he always seemed to be there when I needed him
I had just left my church, a local Vineyard church, for various reasons, and my partner was at a local, independent, Charismatic church - one that I used to go to, but had left and did not want to go back to. Now we are both looking for a church where we can both go and be accepted.
I am looking for a Christian church that is charismatic, in that it has a certain amount of freedom of worship, yet at the same time it is not fundamentalist or conservative in its views - one that has an intellectual and questionging, liberal approach. Does any such Christian church exist?
