To me, a true martyr is someone who suffers, is tortured, or killed for Christ righteousness.
Also, who suffer for others sins or environmental sins.

Martyr means witness. To give testimony. Since so many early christians gave their lives as testimony to their faith, it now means someone who dies for their faith.

A true martyr of faith according to the gospel is the one who lives his life doing God's work. AS there are no more persecutions or tortures or burning at the stakes. A true martyr of faith according to Islam is a member's willingness to die anytime all in the name of Allah. That's a religious fanatic. God is not all about hatred and violence. These terrorists commit crimes against the innocents. They don't question orders they just carry it out.

I would agree with you accept the Christian faith not righteousness. There will come a time when the Anti-Christ comes on the scene. He will demand worship and people will be forced to renounce God or have their head chopped off. He will sit in the Jewish Temple and claim him self equal with God and he will call down fire from the sky. He will be mortally wounded in the head and he will not die. Which will cause people to believe in him.

A christian martyr is one that is preaching The Bible and is killed for what he is preaching..
A muslim martyr is one that blows himself up and kills women and children and then goes to be with Allah and have 72 virgins..
