The pentagram was originally a Hebrew symbol, symbolizing different degrees of initiation into learning of the mysteries of the Kabbalah. It was said to have been given to King Solomon by the Archangel Uriel. Over time it was used in many Kabbalistic magic mystery orders as a symbol of unity, power, and the mysteries of the Kabbalah. It has been used for a long time by the Knights Templar and the Golden Dawn.
When Wicca came about, it was adopted as a symbol of their religion to represent the five elements (earth, air, fire, water, and spirit) and also the Goddess, among other things. It was never associated with Satanism until the 1960s when Anton LaVey formed the Church of Satan and used the inverted pentagram as a symbol for his new religion.
Historically, no it has never been a Satanic symbol. It didn't become a Satanic symbol until recently, but the pentagram was claimed as a symbol for the Kabbalists and then the Wiccans long before Satanism ever came along.

no it is not.
The pentagram is a symbol of protection and luck. Also, Pythagoras used it to represent the human body, and when encircled, the unity of humanity and the All.
The pentagram and pentacle are good things.
Unfortunately, many associate the inverted pentagram with satanists... the bastards

No. Actually at one time Christians used it to represent the 5 wounds of Christ. The Jews also used it for the 1st 5 books of the bible... it is also the symbol of Israel. It didn't even become a pagan symbol till the middle ages. And then, IMO, it only became a symbol of evil due to the propaganda given by the RCC.

Not unless you want it to be.
However...truth be told...the pentagram, or the encircled five-pointed star, is the symbol of life here & the connection to Home...each point representing our make-up of Air, Water, Fire, Earth, & Spirit. The circle is the "Circle of Life"...the never-ending, undying ring that connects all things.

The pentagram represents the 5 elements. "Earth" "Air" "Water" "Fire" and "Spirit". Wiccans and Neo pagans use it with one point facing up. Us Satanists use it with 2 points facing up so that it can also resemble the head Baphomet.

nope.
It's actually a common sign of wicca. It shows that no matter what, everything is connected to everything else.
Sadly, misunderstanding of wicca has led people to believe that it is satanic (thanks hollywood, thank you for spreading the ignorance) and therefore, the pentagram a 'evil' signal.
Not true.

No, it has been around a very long time and was actually used as one of many symbols by the Catholic church before the reformation.

Glad you checked the spelling. No it is not. They will turn one upside down, taking a symbol that was not theirs. It symbolizes earth, air, fire, water, and spirit.
