When I was about nine my mother made me think she was going to kill me, seriously and truly. She was depressed and talked allot about suicide, but first kill us kids.

I found that later, as an adult, I HAD to forgive her or I could not form any kind of a healthy relationship with any other woman. That core of being wounded was always getting in the way of commitment, with love.

So, I forgave her for her weakness and her pain, just as I hope others forgive me for mine. No sane mother wants to kill her children.

I don't forgive my mother for anything, but she's never tried to kill me (to the best of my knowledge).

I would forgive her but I would stay as far away from her as possible, and I'd seek therapy to help me get over the fact that my own mother tried to kill me.

No I couldn't forgive my mother for doing something like that.

A mother should be there in a loving & supportive role for her child forever.'

Granted, it may take a while. Healing from a traumatic experience like that would take a while. But yes, I believe I would in the end.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as Jesus Christ did to you, because you belong to Christ.

No, I found out my mother felt when she was pregnant. She tried to kill me before I was born. She was pregnant with twins and she only killed one of us. She then walked out on me when I was only 5 years old. I spend the last 20 years trying to give her the chance to be a mom to me but I am now tired of trying and failing. I washed her out of my life.

No. My mother did things not as bad as what you say, but I can never forgive her for the things she did to me.

i would forgive her, because she most likely has a mental problem. my mother has a mental problem and i'm sure she thought about killing me so she put me up for adoption. whats odd is that i never resented her for it. not while i was a child and i still don't as an adult. i just felt sorry for my self and her alot. that's probably why i'm still sane.
