Every year thousands of desert animals fall to their deaths (mainly after nightfall) off the sheer cliffs of the Grand Canyon. This senseless loss of life can be stopped if we backfill the Grand Canyon. Please join Friends of the Desert at www.friendsofthedesert.org.

Back filling the GrandCanyon creates several solutions to many of the countrys problems. upon discussing it with my wife we have come up with The answer.

Yes... and here is why...

Aside from the saving of thousands of desert animals the biggest benefit would be the unbelievable amount of land fill space... I would suggest that the first thing that be done is to build a giant culvert to route the colorado river through so that it doesn't wash away any of the valuble trash. Then truck all the trash from every state to Arizona Back that baby up to the rim of the canyon and dump away. .. If landfilling is not your bag then standard backfill will work. I think that there is enough dirt in a little country to the south called mexico... make it a mandatory law that any immigrant from mexico bring one full wheelbarrow full of dirt with them to gain a 6mo visa. after that they must return to mexico and bring 2 more wheelbarrows full to remain in the us for an additional 2yrs. once the canyon is full it can be used as housing for the undocumented workers that are working to build the worlds deepest canyon 5 miles up the road. I opt for landfill. Thanks for calling.

The Grand Canyon is a work of nature and is wonderful as it is now.

No, drag a big bunch of icebergs up, and create an idyllic lake. But build a fence so no critters can fall in and drown.
