Homosexuality or any other sin aside, there is a verse in the psalms that says " Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God's throne and mercy and truth go before Him. We need to take into account all of the character of God not one or the other.
As I read read the Bible I often see a simple concept in the heart and mind at work. It seems to be that God gives grace and mercy to the humble and believing and Justice and law to the proud and unrepentant. How can this be? God being just must punish sin if He is truly just, otherwise He would be less than God. However by sending Christ to take the just penalty of sin He showed His love by freeing those who would trust in what He did. At the same time He never violated His justice because a payment for sin was accomplished by Jesus' death. Justice was carried out. He cried it is finished signifying that the work for our salvation was completed and rose from the dead to prove it.
Neither one won out and today neither one wins out. "Jesus did not come into the world to judge the world but to save the world through Him" He simply came into the world to be a light that shows our sin and judgment already on us. John 3:18-36. He wants us to yurn to Him trusting Him and what He did alone and forsake our sins by His strength. Have you done that yet? "Behold, today is the day of salvation." Salvation from what? Salvation from God's just and righteous judgment. Will you accept that free gift today?

God is both just and merciful, but there are celestial laws that carry punishment when broken. The saying goes "mercy cannot rob justice," and that is why God sent his son to atone for the sins of the world. Because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, the law is satisifed and we can all obtain forgiveness. God cannot exist without justice, and we are lost without forgiveness. But because of Jesus Christ, one does not have to win out over the other. So to answer your question-- both win.

Seems to me that because homosexuality is considered to be a sin that is unfair ,but God forgives. Justice doesn't even come into play, its not which one wins out ,its how you want to live
God is not going to punish a homosexual he is not a punishing God , but a forgiving one really need to read some scripture

Think about this...because a person is forgiven does not imply they are not accountable for their actions. As an example, I have forgiven my first husband for his decision to abandon his biological daughter - but that did not relieve him from his responsibilities to her. So I suppose that my opinion is that because of God's justness His forgiveness is not above or below His forgiveness - just a different aspect of Him. BTW, not all Christians believe homosexuals are condemned to Hell, and furthermore, not all Christians believe being in Hell is an eternal condition.

God will forgive ANYONE who wants to be forgiven and is willing to follow the plan of Salvation.
If you die before asking for forgivenness, you shouldn't blame the judgement that follows on God
He offered you a lifetime of chances to accept Him.

Justice first. If the balance is equal, then he uses mercy to forgive.
