God created Satan, right? And God created free will, right? So didn't God invent evil, since God invented everything? Doesn't this mean in some essential way that God IS evil? And if God didn't invent everything, is there really a God? Please help me understand.

There's actually a verse that says God creates good and evil (or something like that)... I just can't seem to find it now..... if I do I'll obviously update this.

Well, I was kinda close...

Isaiah 45

5 I am the LORD, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,

6 so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
men may know there is none besides me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other.

7 I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.

HERE IT IS....

from the King James Version

7I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Yes, the son-of-a-b***h must have known that when He let the seas roll fourth upon the Earth there would one day be evil, but He did it anyway to give us a choice to love or not to love Him and sometimes, I'm not sure which I do. He sure made a messed up world full of hate and violence. There is so little love on this planet it’s a wonder God even still exists.

God established through His creation a principle of choice. For choice to be true, it must include two avenues that are 180 degrees from one another. Evil is only the rejection of God and His principles of righteousness. Sin was born in the heart of Lucifer and was passed on to Adam, God didn't "create" evil, He allowed for the potential of it's existence so that we who follow Him do so out of personal willingness and desire, not because we have to.

God created Satan. Satan disobeyed him which originated sin therefore Sin is evil because of Satan. God is love. God created Lucifer who wasn't evil until pride enter in.

What happens when you take away the light? Darkness takes over. So when Satan with his own free will nolonger had the light he was only darkness. So do the math. Read the word buddy "Seek and you will find".

ur stupid. god gave up his only son so we could all have a chance. let me give u an example of wat ur saying....ur parents go out somewhere and put u n charge of ur brother n sister. instead of watching them, u throw a party (typical) or instead u bring some friends over.....wait let me give u another one. ur parents just let u go out to a party wit ur friends after u just got off of punishment. they say that they want u back at around such n such a time. but instead u come home late n ur drunk. NOW, they gave u a chance to prove urself to them, but u just fuck3d up. were they wrong for not trusting u n giving u a 2nd chance?? GOD did create the devil, but he wasnt the devil then. he (devil) is wat u would call a "fallen" angel. he wanted to be more then wat god was..or is. he didnt like gods principles so he did his own thing. god isnt evil;stupid, its just that people think so hard on $hit and come up with dumb conclusions. god gave man knowledge and gave us a mind to think for ourselved.
