Some people believe that every thing on the Earth has a little piece of the divine (whether its God or some other divine entity). So we should actually be praying to the mantis!! Maybe the mantis are trying to remind us!!

Reincarnation is also a possibility; good and bad karma from our actions determine whether we advance to a better life or go to a worse one in the next life. Maybe being a Praying Mantis is the best life you can be reincarnated into, so in a way a person's prayers did get answered.

yes, they usually pray for a longer lifespan and their prayer is answered by death, then reincarnation into a turtle.turtles live to be over a hundred years old.the turtle enjoys being a turtle at first but then prays for freedom and not be displayed like a freak show at the zoo.unfortunately, the turtle will have to wait another 100 something years, until they die.then reincarnate back to a free praying mantis, who isn't taken hostage at a zoo.

I'm sure the male prays that he won't get his head bitten off after procreation by the female.......his prayers are never answered!

One up for the women - being punished for Eve's 'temptations' - bah - the female praying mantis spits on this - mwahahahaha

no becuase a praying mantis doesnt actually "pray". the only time it does pray (as in catching food) is when it is praying on its food source.
