...then how can human beings ever really hope to understand him. If he created the universe, then he must exist outside of space and time - and that is completely beyond our comprehension, surely. Therefore his motivations must be too.

I know I'll be told that we "don't need to understand him" - but he evidently wants us to believe in him, according to the bible.

Before you all start shouting at me, this is a genuine question. I am agnostic, and have an open mind. I'm interested in what others, from both sides of the fence, think.

Weapons are not the means to resolve issues. Violence breeds viloence. Understanding is the key. Dialogue is the format to pursue. Are you willing to Love and Forgive?

I tried out last week at a soup van - there were about 25 volunteers including myself, and about 500 homeless people. I don't think I'll go back, I just felt lost within the sea of people. I had the feeling that it would have made no difference if I had been there or not. Sure, it sounds selfish of me, but the reason why I want to do volunteer work is to feel useful. Also, I'm not a very sociable person, so it was all a bit overwhelming. My family thought I might not be able to handle all the homeless people, but it turned out that I couldn't handle all the volunteers!! I need to find something else that makes me feel useful and needed, without making me want to run and hide. Any suggestions??

And if There were Two Gods in One before the Trinity, Who or Which one of these Gods made this decision to have a son, only to make Three Gods in One as if Two were insufficient or incapable of managing the Heavens and the Earth?

Why would God present Himself as a Trinity that is unreasonable and have His son come down as a man, to be most reasonable and understanding, and why would the son of God need to have a mother when God should have been capable of creating anything by His Word?

I ask these questions because the son is reported to be a very reasonable man, according to St. Mark (Mark12:28-32), and you cannot reason a mystery, which can neither be understood nor explained, but the son quite reasonably explained the Only True God to Whom he prayed in John 17:3 as "One God: and there is none other but He. (Mark12:32)

The son spoke of One God, and the Oneness of God is that there is nothing to compare with Him or no partner with Him, being quite reasonable.

I mean many Christians have a wrong idea about Jesus (PBUH) in Islam. Someone asked a question about Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be upon them), and one of the answerers stated:

"Muslims deny the divinity of Jesus Christ, reject his sin-free life, and reject his perfect life example of peace and healing.

Muslims that I have met believe the Da Vinci Code that Jesus was a man who had sin and girlfriends and wives."

How ignorant! Yes we do deny that Jesus was a god, but he's one of the most highly respectable prophets in Islam:
-He was mentioned many times in the Qur'an, even more than Muhammad (PBUH)!
-He was described in Qur'an and Hadiths as a righteous man, sin-free (Yes we do believe he is sin-free), and never had sexual contacts with anyone.
-We do believe in his miracles (e.g: Raising the dead, healing people, etc.) but under God's power, not his.
-Believing in him is one of the 6 pillars of Islamic faith (Along with all the other prophets, starting from Adam to Muhammad).

During the annual festival of Makara Sankranthi, Sabarimala temple authorities are burning camphor on the hills and misguiding the poor devotees that it is makara Jyothi, the divine light coming in the sky by the miracle of lord Ayyappa. They also release an eagle at the same time. The divine light and the eagle appearing on that day is credited to Ayyappa's divine miracle. They bar people from going to the hilly terrain where the camphor is burned and the eagle released from the tree top. Through these man made miracles, the temple authorities have managed to attract millions of devotees to the temple. No one knows exactly how much money the frenzied devotees throw into the temple's cash collection pots. Most of the collection is unaudited and goes to the pockets of members of temple management commitee plus some influential priests who indulge in indecent life styles. Do you think it is right to exploit the religious setntiments of people with such cheap tactics?

I use circle magic primarily and am mainly a Hedge Witch.

Do you prefer to work with covens or by yourself? I'm a bit of a lone witch myself, although I do work with others on occasion.

Did you find the craft or did it find you? I literally could not avoid it - it ambushed me one day!

Also, do you have any psychic abilities? I see auras and have premonitory dreams. I have also managed to astrally project a few times, (although only once with out drugs).

Hoe you don't mind me asking - I'm just feeling very nosy! (Also rather outnumbered by all the militant Christians on here today - must just be hankering after some Pagan company).

ps: Please do not post me any abuse. If you do I will be forced to turn you into a toad, and then report you!!

I tried it once and in the middle of the reading, I switched the board around and, by golly, the pendulum started swinging the other way to give the same answer.

I think I don't believe in that stuff - but when things like that happen.....?

Do you believe in Dinosaurs? We pretty much have proof that they existed like 60 million years before humans. So how is it that in the creation story, God created man after just a few days of creating earth? Where were the dinosaurs?
