I have noticed that the more people value the commands, prohibitions, and objections and the standard of conduct prescribed by Abramic Religions, the more they seem to behave like racist, heterofascist, warmongers running a race to out work, out fight, and out number competition in the global culture. A race I might add that is prophesized to end with a great war some call Armageddon. It is not a coincidence that people are rejecting Abramic religions. I believe the many of our global culture are beginning to realize what love could be.
She hid her beauty from many,
in a fractal universe.
When she revealed herself to me,
as a possibility,
then I knew what love could be.

It seems the more devout people are the worse they are. Take a look at all the pedophile priests you hear about. Then remember the do-nothing keep it under the rug policy the Church Officials took on it. Then you have The September 11th attacks which were by Muslim Extremists. ALthough murder and mayhem are nothing new to the religious folks. The Catholic Chruch is responsible for The Salem Witch Trials, The Spanish Inquisiton, and executing Nicholus Copernicus and Giordannoi Bruno for proving The Earth revolved around the Sun and was not the center of the universe. They also Threatened Galileo Galilei for the same thing. In Tennessee in The 1920s Professor John T. Scopes was arrested and imprisoned for teaching the Theory of Evolution.
I see society standing up and rejecting religion as a sign we are evolving. We are moving beyond superstitious nonsense and learning to accept reality.

First this is a rant and could be stated. 2d, even as the funding of clinical analyze could be political, the outcomes do not could be. it really is why the equipment of peer evaluation, and replicable, verifiable, and falsifiable experimentation is serious to good technology. As to Evolution, you could keep ranting for all time, yet you at the on the spot are not replacing the data. the conception of existence evolving predates Darwin. Darwin got here up with organic mechanisms for evolution which fairly carry actual. certain, there has been tweaking of the mechanisms proposed through Darwin. yet that doesnt difficult Darwin contained in the least. For more effective than 100 and fifty years, theist threatened through the conception of organic mechanisms for evolution were attempting to disprove it, yet they ought to to grant any credible evidence of something except "Darwins Evolution". you may not like the concept you percentage problem-free descent with different primates , and people are primates. even with the undeniable fact that it continues to be a truth. the actual undeniable truth that our DNA is so similar is one piece of evidence of problem-free descent. Our DNA could be similar wo different mammals, because we are mammals. it really is going to be a lot less resembling birds, reptiles, insects, amphibians, or fish. Dawkins does not characterize all evolutionary biologists. So he has a political agenda. So do different human beings. seem on the christian fundamentalist, David Barton. He has compelled undocumented adjustments into american heritage try utilized in public faculties to make it extra "christian". this is a planned move through fundamentalists to apply revisionist heritage to target to regulate the way of existence of the united states contained in the subsequent 20 or so years so as that the fundamentalists would have extra administration and power in authorities. i'm a lot extra nervous about the adjustments Barton has made to textbooks than i'm about one biologist's anti theist tracts. you could be too.

I have studied history and I feel that it is the complete opposite. As religions have lost much of their hold on society so have things like thinking the world is flat, murdering non believers, witch trials, killing tribal communities and doing so because they are "heathens", treating women badly, abusing children, and taking away civil rights or keeping civil rights from minorities and others that the religious community doesn't agree with.

No, the more fundamentalist religions gets, the worse the world is getting. Its not the rejection of religion, but the insanity of the religious people who are causing the problems.

Religion has had thousands of years to bring peace to the world. But we now see events unfolding that probably will lead to a new world war; based on religion.

Rejecting the true God, that made heaven and earth.
This is why the world is getting worse. There are lots of Religion out there, some are Satanic. so your statement about Religion is too general. Ask the old people, they know how things were before. I have asked many, hands down. They all say its getting worse. People are rude, not caring, cold, lacking natural affection.
2 Timothy 3:
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 peters 3:
of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Where's your proof? How do you know that there's not a rise in religion causing resentment and rebellion? Maybe there were less religious people 50 years ago than there are today.
You have no proof what so ever.

Are you talking about religion in general, or one particular one?
And personally, I don't see it being any worse than it was at any other point in history. We just have mass media now to broadcast it. Violence has always been big, rampant sex, whatever you consider to be bad about society--it's all always been there. We can just see much more of it now.
