Why do you feel that other belief systems do not belong here, why does it have to be such a holy war? I respect that you are Christian, please respect that just because someone is not, or has a belief different from you that they are bad or "going to hell". How does someone believing different than you threaten you in any way? I just don't get it.

Religious people, do you find Yahoo Answers a good way to relieve your violent tendencies. It’s a well known fact that religion is the biggest cause of violence, wars, murder, and hatred, since humanity began. Even the Bible is no different as it seems to encourage such behaviour. Just read Genesis for example.

I notice a lot of anger and hatred seems to be an inherent quality of religious people all over the world, and it’s pleasing to see so many Atheists trying to help and encourage religious people away from such folly.

I feel that Yahoo Answers may well be a good way for religious people to relieve themselves of their warring nature rather than killing innocent human life.

This is a question based off a response I read to another question.

Is this a prominent belief between Protestants (restorationist, reformist, fundamentalist)?

If so on what authority, evidence and knowledge do you have it that the Bible is in itself the "Word of God"?

How can you suppose that you are not lacking information?
(e.g. Council of Nicea discernment of the "Inspired Works")

I'll hang up and listen.

P.S. I'm not Catholic, Orthodox, or Anglican or anything similar.

Is it possible that Karma from a past life can come up to bite you in the a** in this life?
How do you fix it, and how do I go about finding more out about my past life?

Okay, everyone. There is so much misinformation out there about other beliefs. Here is a chance to tell something positive about your particular religious beliefs. Tell us in your own words, the five best things about your religious beliefs and which religion you are part of. If your religion has subcategories (such as Christian, or Muslim), please let us know which sect, or type of church, etc you go to.

Thanks!

But the only rule is that you must be respectful in your post of any other beliefs. You don't have to agree with them, just don't cut them down.

I am american, and am bilingual English/Spanish. My family doesn't speak Spanish. The father is Mexican and him and his family do not speak English. So I am unsure about how to go about the baptism. We want both of our families to be apart, but not sure how to do this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do, and only last week I drove one of my friends to Church. She was a kind elderly lady who suffered quite badly from arthritis. I even gave her $2 to put in the collection box because she had forgotten her purse.

Now, before all you religious bigots pat me on the back for being a nice person, just understand that because I know (along other scientists) that religious belief is a result of mental illness, does not mean that Atheists will not help those in need. Just because I believe that religious people are mentally handicapped, does not mean Atheists will not extend them the hand of friendship. It happens all the time on Yahoo Answers.

If Atheists can continue to set an example for humanity to follow, then I think our world will become a much happier and safer place to live.

Whats the deal with scientology? So many wierd rules. Tom
Cruise wouldn't even let whats her face make any noise during labor cause it's against some dumb rule? What kind of crap is that? Labor's gotta hurt. I cried one time when I tripped and landed on a tree root. It hurt like crazy. If any scientologist came to try and shut me up, I'd of loved to stab them in the ear with an apple flavored jolly rancher, which also sucks.

this confuses me greatly,am i to believe that when you confess your sins, you are forgiven of everything?child killers, molesters, people who instigate meaningless violence upon innocent people, why would they be forgiven?my real question is dont you think the priest knows that you cant be forgiven for certain things, but he really couldnt tell you?or mabey he doesnt know,i mean if god really exists, wouldnt he be the only one that would know?i find it hard to beleive that if god were real,he would forgive evil sins, and find it harder to believe going to a priest and confessing would make sins like that dissapear, real question here.

GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.

GE 1:20-21, 26-27 Birds were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before birds were created.

GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before animals were created.

A is before B--(1)
B is before A--(2)
do even permutasion on (2),
iBs before A-->isB before A-->isbBbefore A-->isbeBfore A
so ons,
we gets-->isbeforeB A--(3)
do same oparation ons (3)
we gets,
A is before B--(4)
so (1) is equivalant to (2)
This proofes Bible. Quesa Errata Demostratum.

The word of God says that this ´´Gospel of the kingdom´´ will be preached to every nation peoples and tongues (or languages), ´´then´´ shall the ´´end´´ come. So i believe that christians should be interested in other languages since language is a tool of the word. God bless you and thank you for your answer!!!

Christ told his disciples that there were to be no rulers among them. The greatest would be the servant.

Then, when John recorded his vision from the Isle of Patmos, Christ said that he did not like that a couple of the churches were becoming involved in the deeds of the Nicolaitanes.

The word Nicolaitan means, to lord over the congregation.

My question is, are there any who believe that the present day Christian church with pastors teaching people could possibly be doing exactly what Christ did not want?

Isn't the Holy Spirit supposed to be our teacher after the new covenant? (Jer. 31:34)
