Following in the trend of worshiping carpenters, maybe something revolving around Bob Vila?

Dear Tommy Green,
If you consider "christianity" the true christians or "elect" as stated in the Bible, no they will not "die out." The Lord (Jeus Christ) will always have a remnant, a small piece of the whole, that are true believers or the elect. These elect have received a "new resurrected soul" in which they love the Lord and will keep His commandments (1 John 2:3, 4). You must realize that every person that says they are a "christain" may not be a christain. If you read the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13, I believe that you will understand. I think you can get an idea from the World Trade Center tragedy. Those men who flew the planes into the towers as well as other targets, may have been able to fly a jet but they were not pilots concerned about the well-being and safety of their passengers. You see the same thing with the incidents with M.D,'s. There was a case of and M.D. who sexually molested and raped several of his patients while under anesthesia. Although this man had an M.D., he was concerned about the health and well-being of these patients.
From everything that we read in the Bible, Christ may return in 2011. That day would mark the end of the world and Judgment Day. I do not have space to elaborate, but you can check out www.familyradio.com if you ae interested.

One can only hope... but I don't think it will die out by the year 3,000. What we are dealing with here is evolution-in-action... and, at this point, only about 20% of the population has evolved to the point where they are able to think rationally and employ logic and critical thought; i.e., free-thinkers. Since it has taken around 100,000 years to achieve that 20%, that extrapolates to another 400,000 years for the religious majority to catch up... unless we take control of our own evolution, and make procreation a right that can only be secured by achieving 130+ on an IQ test. (From what I have seen, that appears to be the level where critical thought kicks in.)

If most 'christians' are people who act as bigoted, hate-filled, homophobic and discriminatory as you, based on your "questions" in the LGBT area, then a replacement would not be a bad thing.
Fortunately most true Christians work for peace, tolerance and understanding of ALL people. WWJD?

Christianity has been predominant for the past 2000 years. Somehow, I don't think it will die out between now and the year 3000.

Looking into my proverbial crystal ball, I see the day when a truly complete theory of everything has eliminated any supernatural role for gods, and a complete theory of mind has eliminated any possibility of dualism. All religions will transform into something along the lines of Buddhism; ethical codes combined with mysticism.

Unfortunately, I believe Christianity will die...that is, be actively stamped out by her enemies. It will appear to the world as if Christianity is dead for a brief period...and the world will rejoice.
However, God will have the last word.
