You could also ask: What is truth?
Ultimate reality, or truth for that matter, can not be known or understood by our limited mind, since we are not all-knowing. We can never "know" all the "facts". So we can only have "beliefs".

To each of us that belief is reality. But we will also always have some doubts, especially where our beliefs differ from that of others.

As one of the ancient philosophers put it: I think therefore I AM. Everything else could be an illusion.

To live our lives and to make sense of "living" it we need faith in "something".
We need a sense of doing "the right thing" in and with what we perceive is "our world", to be at peace with our own mind and "reality".

Since we ARE limited there are doubts, which interfere with our “peace of mind”. So we either do, or look up, “studies” - as in science - to confirm (or disprove) our beliefs, or we look for answers beyond science.

That’s where philosophies and religions come in to “teach” us what may be “the right thing” to believe and/or to do to achieve “perfection” (ultimate peace) for our “reality”.

We can then experiment by applying those teachings and judge by the results what is “right” or “wrong” for US to believe or do.

Personally I found that compassion and forgiveness in relation to others, which by the way is taught in many religions and by a number of philosophers, is the most gratifying way of life. Therefore I believe that it comes closest to ultimate reality.

If everybody would employ this concept of compassion AND forgiveness it could mean the end of all hate and hostility in the world!

Try it!

Dear T I: Reality is not this world you look upon. Everything you see here is perishable. God Created spirit and Created nothing perishable.

This world is chaotic. God Created a deep order of things.

This world is often a cruel place to be. Your Father would be cruel if He had Created this.

This world is often un-loving. Your Father would be an un-loving Father if He had Created this.

Creation is real. A world WAS Created. Only man says. . . it was a physical world. . ..

If the Creator is loving, all powerful, and the Designer of an orderly Kingdom - what is this, then? It's called Separation.

Then, is this world your Reality - or a substitute?

Learn of Reality through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Learn of God's Loving Plan.

Your reality is what you and those that influence you make it. What ever is force feed to you, the manipulations of others, the way you preceve things, are all part of your reality.

Real reality, is something much different. It is what really is. Real reality is what you'd see if you look passed media bullshit, and the core of all things.
