When I learn new bits of knowledge and have new curiosities and mysteries that I am trying to understand, why does it feel like the universe is getting bigger for me(and smarter)
It almost makes me feel like that I have a role to play in a very large story.
An example, if aliens were true, it makes me wonder if they respect our freewill to some degree.(this thought makes me wonder) but arguable

If this is one of many worlds, this seems like a place where one learns to create..(another example)

If people here are existing and have the ability to alter their perception of other reality systems, would the public be scared of them and possibily want to kill them..
Just a curious eye here.

Why do so many people stereotype each religion? For example, if a guy says he is catholic everybody automatically thinks of the priests and little boys. I am Mormon, and there a millions of stereotypes out there for us lol, and I try to shrug them off and not hate people for their words, "love thy enemy", but it still stings..... and these stereotypes are passed down, through friends, families, and churches even. That does not seem a holy way to live your life.

What is your opinion? Does it make people happy with their beliefs, or get them mad at others that don't believe what they do? Does it give them peace, or does it create war? Does it cause eternal salvation in heaven, or eternal suffering on earth?

Since when does your capacity for understanding reality mean anything about actual reality? Could you build a rocket and go for a moon walk? Well, some people can, and some people know how primordial ooze boiled into life. Take a look, it's in a book...

"No, I don't know that Athiests should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered as patriots. This is one nation under God." ~ George W. Bush

So what, Mr. President? Just because I don't believe in your god means I can't love my country? I'm not even really an Athiest (more of an Agnostic) but this REALLY troubles me. What makes him think that Athiests can't be good Americans? What next, special camps for non-believers?

What do you think of this quote? Agree or disagree with it? Think it's completly insaine and worrysome? Why or why not?

I think this make Poverty history campaign is so patronizing , it looks as a nice couse but it doesn´t tackle the real problem which is, learning to choose and decide one´s life. Have reponsability for our own decisions. It makes us think africans have no oportunities, but even in the worse of conditions there are oportunities at your reach,, lets not fend ourself on ignorance.. people like to play the victim,, we all do. What the campaign should say is make victimization history, make indecision history and make irresponsability for your own decisions history. And in my view of this universe, what the devil really wants is exactly that, we taking decisions in an irresponsible way

Ok, let’s try this way now.
How do we know that GOD of bible is a GOD?
I know bible says so but if we think hypothetically for a second…
Some more powerful being than human appears to few ppl in ancient time and claim to be their GOD. He performs miracles and shows how he can destroy or reward humanity.
He has absolute power compare to any human or anything that man ever sow. Ok. He is powerful, but how do we draw a conclusion that he is a god?
When asking modern day Christian if he would genocide ppl around him for absolutely great reason he will say no. And that person conceders his self to be intelligent. But how come intelligence of all intelligences did just that trough great flood? Aren’t we just degrading god to the most primitive and terrible actions that even primitively intelligent human would not do it? Unless the more intelligent we get the more destructive we became. May be to be intelligent means kill and not love? Or may be being Super intelligent means Love =Kill?

I am curious, I am an atheist. I will always be at the VERY least agnostic. I have received invites from a devout Christian. I am not going to convert-EVER!
We would always have that conflict. I don’t like constant conflict.
Is it the lure of changing my mind?

knowledge of modern man, would you be seen as a God?

Think about it.Let's say that you took a plane and called it God's Chariot and you took a machine gun and called it God's instrument of death and thunder and you took a laser pointer and called it the light to the way and took a lighter and called it God's hand of fire and you took medicines that they did not have that could cure things that then were incurable and told them that you were God's messenger and you would cure those who came onto you..

Would the primitives of a extremely less advanced culture see your devices as works of God?Would your ability to fly and to kill without raising a sword cause them to believe that only God could be that powerful?Would your ability to cure things like infections be seen as Holy?Would you have been able to start a following? With all that you know today you would certainly impress even the most powerful of men.

I ask this because I often ask Religion and Spirituality questions in an attempt to figure out the truth, figure out what merit the Bible has, etc. Almost every time I ask a question where I want someone to explain an inconsistency I've found in the Bible or Christain dogma I get an answer akin to, "Well all I know is that Jesus died for my sins, why do you have to use all this logic to try to disprove that?" My question then is...why did God give me logic? I'm not trying to incite hatred; I don't try to incite hatred with my other questions, either. I'm just trying to understand things.
