about the end of the world and seaborn nuclear blasts, when every single prediction they have made has NOT come true. They simply move the date , when that date passes they move it again. How many of you take this seriously? How silly is that?

I believe that Jesus did not die for my sins but rather that he was murdered for being the heir to the throne of Israel and at that time the Romans ruled over the Hebrews, therefore the significance of his story is that evil can not ultimately conquer the righteous and furthermore that salvation comes to those who worship God with all their hearts, minds and souls. He tried to teach the Hebrew people that the kingdom they desired will not be created because they do not love God as they should.

when he said that he came only for the lost sheep of Israel? At the very most he died for the sins of the Hebrew people only!

It looks like the Iraqi was has come down to Sunni vs. Shia. They're both Muslim, so what's the big deal? The Sunni want ONLY Sunni to be in control, while Shia seem to be open to the concept of a mixed democratic government. You don't see other countries having a civil war for the sake of having only one religious denomination in complete control. When will the Sunni realize that democracy works because God loves the concept of FREE WILL and CHOICE?

I was at school with a gril who always wore a small, triangular, blue head covering. I discovered that she belonged to a faith called (the) Brethren. Being an inquisitive girl I asked her a few questions about her faith but she wouldn't even look at me let alone answer my questions. Another friend of hers told me that she wasn't allowed to talk about her religion.

My question is therefore, what do they believe? and if they are not allowed to talk about their faith, how do they 'convert' people? Or are you just born into that faith?

Your input would be most helpful.

He could have turned it into anything He wanted; an endlessly long line, a redemptive and educational school, a place of endless sleeping... There are so many more humane ways of dealing with non-believers, why would he chose suffering and torture as the best way?

If you tell a psych God talks to you on a daily basis, he will think you're crazy or deranged and off to the funny farm you go and you don't even like farming. Not all psychs think this way, but, there are many that do. Just pray you don't get one of them (don't say you got an answer to that)! Does watching Looney Tunes make you looney?

I don't understand why some people don't wanna be Christians (or Jewish or someone that believes and trusts in God). I mean, do they want to feel hopeless about death? Why would you want to feel like you're screwed in the world with no one more powerful than you there to help you?

After god takes up all the crazy holy rollers in the rapture and sends them up to heaven, i think that will create heaven on earth.

By getting all the bible thumpers off this planet, it will be heaven for everyone who had to listen to their judgemental bullsh!t for the last 2 millenia.

Jesus will tell them they didn't follow his commandments to love one another, and now they have to go live with his Dad in heaven. Remember, the God who smites people, kills them for touching the skin of a dead pig, and all that stuff! The Christians get to go up there!

Jesus (you know, he was always sort of a hippie) will stay down here on earth with us and hang out with the sinners, tax collectors, and lepers and show us all a what love really is - you know, the exact opposite thing that the christians have been showing us all for the last 2k years

I think i'd rather stay down here and party with jesus and let god take all the judgemental fruits to heaven and smite them when they do wrong!
