Just recently I came into real touch with God and I can't stop thinking about him, or talking about him, its a great feeling. I am just wondering if theres anyone else who feels like that.

I do, I really do. It's made such a huge difference having him in my life. It's almost as though I can do anything because his love will carry me through as long as its the righteous thing to do. I've been through some pretty dark situations in my life what with family betrayels and death of loves ones, but you know, when nothing else has been constant in my life, he's remained as constant and as bright as the North Star.
One time I was in a Mormon visitor center, and I was just kinda looking around. I was sitting in front of the big statue of Jesus and just thinking about how miserable my life was and how I didn't want to be there. Then a missionary came over and asked if I wanted to listen to the narration. I was intrigued and said yes. The narration was verses that I quickly recognized from the Bible, direct words from Christ. When it was finished the young man came up to me and said something I'll never forget. He said, "I love this statue because it looks like Jesus is going to give you a big hug. I once heard someone say that Jesus is like the stars. The stars shine the brightest at night, but nobody sees them during the day, even though they are there. I've come to realize in my life how important it is to come unto Christ even when the day is bright and not just when I am going through dark times. He will always be there, and I need to always have him with me because we, as humans, can't do anything without him." This was all very touching, but even more touching was that this young man was paralyzed and in a wheel chair. If anyone knew anything about not being able to do anything by himself, this young man knew it.
I think since that day I've made a conscious effort to think of him and remember him, and my joy in sharing his light with others is of no comparison.
You're not alone in your interest in God. Most importantly though, I know he's thrilled that you have come unto him, and that's why you have such a great feeling. I promise you that you'll never lose that if you stay close to him.

Re: xdarterx
The Lord gave us free will. Remember the Lord told Eve not to eat the apple but she did it anyways. There were consequences for her disobedience. We know how we should be living as Christians but it is our free will to show the Lord how faithful we are to him. We are not the Lords "puppets". If you knew the Lord and were a little familiar with the Lords word, you would know that He doesn't control people. The Lord doesn't "make" people Kill babies and all of the other bad things that go on. Maybe you should do some reading and educate yourself a little more about the Bible. Maybe through that you will get some understanding and hear the Lords calling for you. I'll pray for you.

A belief in a higher power controlling our lives is irresponsible and weak-minded. It causes you to remove blame from yourself and others and put it onto an external being that you can tell yourself you have no control over. It helps people cope with the fear of death and their lack of control over their lives.

If there is a higher being and he is both omnipotent and benevolent, why does he choose to allow children in Africa to die of starvation and hunger? So he can bring them to heaven? Why must they suffer and if he is truly omnipotent, can't he not just bring their spirits to heaven and skip the terrible misery? It's his "plan?" What kind of a demented God has baby killing in his "plan?"

Worship that? Hell no.

You may disagree with me and may continue your life the way it is, but at least I have tried to get some sense into you.
