Think about it.

First off, Santa Claus is for the most part, a lie told my parents to get their children to be good.

But, also, for little children Santa Claus is, perhaps, like a god to them...

Just a little food for thought i'd like some opinions on.^_^

(Please not, i am asking this from a Christian point of view.)

I am just talking about being kind to people even if their beliefs are not your own. We are all different but we are also all the same. And if someone has gone out of their way to be kind to you I would love it if you would share that too.

From a religious standpoint, why is it OK for a human to kill a wild animal for food, but not for a wild animal to kill a human for food. What is the reason for this double standard. Why is the animal considered evil when it does this when it is just trying to survive? Do you think humans put themselves too much on a pedestal in this situtation?

I want to hear from both sides. I myself think there is this double standard.

A muslim man with a beard walked in to MacDonald's and ordered a chicken breast burgher and told the boy at the counter that he loves a tender breast. A lady who was standing with her 9 year old daughter behind this man whispered to the girl and said 'darling we better get away from this muslim man as soon as possible'
what do you think?

I know this must be a common question but humor me. What is a soul, define a soul. Physical or metaphysical definition. Also how do you know you have a soul, can you prove that I have one too?

You can take your time on this one.
Thanks in andvances.

People sometimes complain about atheists putting their views across in public forums but I guarantee you will never, ever see an atheist pop up in any non-religious group to announce that gods don't exist. You will never see someone on a train-spotting discussion group just say out of the blue "Hey, did you know that Heaven is a myth?". You will never see someone go onto a football website and announce that you have no soul and that death is the end of you. It just doesn't happen. We respond to people who spout religious nonsense uninvited in inappropriate places, as they often do, but we never do anything like that ourselves.

Why is that, do you think?
