Lately I have not been all that happy with my church and I know I cant just up and leave because God has me there for a reason and I will be relocating in November anyway and my husband is a deacon.

What are ways that I can make the most of every moment at this church without "wishing the time away"

The church is a small church of needy people that constanly require need and expect us to constantly give, yet they dont give in return, I am NOT talking about money but there is a lack of fellowship and there are too many indians but not enough cheifs meaning for that there are only a very small amount of people that are stable and have jobs and I feel like I have no one to relate to.

When my husbands grandpa died no body (expect the pastor) bothered to call us and see how we were and no body sent a card and that really hurt us it was like no one cared but when they needed rides we were always there for them even in an emergency, yet not one ministed to us.

What is it, what do you do? Why do you do it? I just don't understand, aren't you worried about what hell will be like. Just want some info. Not trying to start trouble.

I think the fact that the FSM was created by someone who freely admits he invented the idea gives the statement that the FSM is not the real creator of the unvierse a true one.

It merely illustrates the question I and others direct at those who believe in the Judeo-Christian God, which is based on the writings of Moses who says God created Adam and Eve in the Garden.

I say how do we know that the story of the FSM being a man made invention to illustrate a point isn't the same with Moses and his God in the Garden of Eden, how can we be sure that this wasn't Moses doing the equivalent of a website in his day and just saying he talked to God but that it might be that he in fact did not, just as we know the originator of the FSM did not talk to the FSM.

Is my point valid or not?

Is it only because we are Isreals allies or is it because of something other?

It is not accurate as Judaism and Christianity are two different faiths with very different beliefs. And if their beliefs matter not in lumping them together why is Islam excluded? Should it not be called Judeo-Christian-Islamic if people are going to lump together different faiths that believe very different things.

I never said God is evil. I never said he's not evil either

Hypothetically speaking, if you had to choose one, which would you choose?

I know God is fake. I'm just doing a little research

I have an 1880 German bible. I'm going to do my best to give you the first page. It says: Bibelen eller Den Hellige Skrift, inbeholbenbe det Gale og def Nye Teflamentes Ranonife (sp? can't read it) Boger. Then it has what looks like a crown with a circle and an "H". Then it has an address, then Rjobenhavn. Then Van bet Brittife Hdenlandife Bibelfeljfabs Nelojtning. Then 1880 under that. It has BBS on the front. I've done my best with the spelling, but some of the German letters are difficult to transcribe. Any ideas? Thanks. Bobbie

Ive noticed everytime someone has a conversation with a christian it seems to be one sided with the christian giving thier POV and the other fellow feeling like they are being ignored. Or the christian selects what they want to respond to and ignore the rest.

Every morning I wake up, I pray, I read the bible and I askGod to use me mighily to serve him every day.

But I am not a famous preacher or muscician, I do ordinary every day things and I want to make a difference in peoples life and not be a casual christian, what are ways that I can really help people?

I dont always see the big picture only God can, however I am serving Him and want to do his will. Have any of you ever had this question cross your mind?

Read of him and learn what his theory meant to him. He was not an atheist, as according to some, he was not a religionist.

I'm an agnostic not trying to convert anyone just asking a question,

Currently the dominant religion in America is Christianity. There is a new religion that believes in the Flying Spaghetti Monster as creator. The text of this belief is found here:
http://www.venganza.org/

So there are those of us who subscribe to this as a religious belief; that is to say we believe that the idea of the FSM is just as valid as the Judeo-Christian God, and in the absense of empirical evidence, the validity is actually 0.

What happens if someone actually started believing in this, say I teach this to my son and he thinks its real.
If in 2000 years there are millions who believed that the FSM is the creator of all life on Earth, would Christians in the minority at this hypothetical future time have an obligation to say NO that isn't right the text you base this on is not a correct version of events?

Would you try and correct my son from his non-sense believe in the FSM?

Sometimes I get a poor me attitude and I get angry about things that have transpired in my life.

How can I be more thankful, greatful and appreciate life and "get over" myself that I am NOT the only one who has ever been hurt, and disappointed in life?

I want to be a blessing not a hindrance to others.

It seems to me like the majority of athists are men, which sucks for us. Religious differences in relationships can be a major problem down the road, but it seems hard to find any single atheist ladies. Anyone have any thoughts on why this might or might not be?

While I'm on the subject, any freshmen, sophomores, or juniors going to Virginia Tech fit that description? Hit me up lol

Yesterday I was very upset and I took my anger out on someone I love dearly I have repented and said I was sorry but you cannot take back harsh words once said.

What are godly creative ways to deal with anger, stress, and anxiety without being mean and nasty to other people?

I want to be a good witness not a bad one.

Should we not just judge him as an actor? His behavior though not condonible seems to be related to the drinking, that may be related to personal unresolved issues and wrapped up in guilt? The pressures have to be enormous,I have seen that pattern way too often to mistake . I am completely against what he said about the Jewish people, in his heart he knows this is not love. He carries conflicts from childhood to haunt him as he hits middle age. Who knows this predicament maybe what he needs to see if he will sink if swim. I think he'll swim, he is a smart man he just needs to ask for forgiveness, forgive himself and get on with it. We can help by not going for the throat when people are down.
Love is the only thing strong enough to win against addiction and remorse. Love you Mel Gibson
Take care of those precious priorities your Lord, your family and YOU, the rest can take care of itself. "What does a man profit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?" ( Mt. 16:26)
