1) Read your Bible. I know that's probably something you'll get very often, but if you actually have a thirst for God's Word, it's gonna help.
2) Don't stop your missions because your missions tour is over. There is always work to be done, and any type of practical service is always a useful evangelical tool. Just doing volunteer work in the name of Jesus Christ can help, if that is where God is leading you.
3) I don't know your story/background, so I couldn't give a whole lot of useful info. I remember when I was saved (and even thereafter), my best friend was not a Christian, or at the very least he didn't act like one. After a few months, I believe that God led me away from him and hanging out with stronger believers within my church.
NOTE: I don't hang out with this friend anymore, but I never intend to tell anyone that it is wrong to have friends that are not Christians. In fact, I think every Christian should. However, James 4:4 says "friendship with the world is hatred towards God" - or something to that effect, and Corinthians (1 or 2, can't remember, too lazy to look up reference) I believe talks about the difficulty of mixing light and darkness, fellowship between Christ and Belial, etc.
4) Freedom of worship. People who limit their worship because of tradition, fear of embarrasment, etc., really limit their entire experience with God. Just be still and know that He is God, and that He is more important than any other thing.
Hopefully my answers weren't too generic and stuff.

The biggest thing is to listen to God. Find out what he wants in the day. It's about relationship right? Just listen throughout the day because the sheep know His voice. It's not like you have to make a 15 min. time slot to pray to God and sit there and give Him your list and maybe He'll answer you. That's religion. Religion is the thing that tells you you have to read devotionals every morning and that you're bad if you didn't for that day. It's not the religious act, but the heart and intentions behind it.
It's about listening constantly and communicating WITH God. You can do it with your spirit and not always with your head. Good job with the mission stuff. It's a really good way to go!!!

Ahhhhh, You're on top of the mountain! What a wonderful place to be. It's hard coming back and keeping it all going. It helps if you can still be around the people who were with you. That's not always possible as with myself...I am hundreds of miles from my sisters in Christ. What you learned will NEVER leave you. Can't say too much, "river rules" ya know. I keep mine going by reading all my little stuff and studying things I find on the computer using my search engine. I also listen to possitive/encouraging http://www.klove.com and you must get the book "Coming Down The Mountain (How To Turn Your Retreat Into Everyday Living)" by Thomas Hart. You will find it at Christian stores. I use the Daysprings Store. Everyday for 6 weeks you will read a chapter that will guide you. No mater what happens in your daily life now that you are back....just remember that there are lots of us out here who are growing and keeping it going and you are not alone. We belong to Jesus! REJOICE! Go light your world!

I'm glad to hear that you want to continue growing. I would recommend finding some friends that have these desires as well, meet together every week or so to keep each other accountable, have a time of prayer together, and have someone give a bible study. I've learned from experience that one way to learn about the bible is to study it in-depth and share it with others...sometimes you won't be able to communicate what you learned, but the knowledge you gain from it is incredible. Also look for opportunities to reach out to others in your community, and keep your candle burning for ALL to see.

Make sure you read the bible everyday. Keep your focus on God and his work. There is a verse in the Bible for every situation. Make sure you find the right church that isnt afraid to say the wrong thing. Teach what the Bible acutally says not someones interputation.
Bible says gays are wrong, abortion is wrong and forgiving is a must. If the preacher allows wrong things in the church then you need to find another one. Find a small church. One that will notice if you are not there and calls to see if you are ok. A big church will never know if you are there or not.

Make sure you stay rooted in the word & prayeful, because right after you come from your mission, you feel dry, empty, dont like the life here cuase its not the same as missions, and you get attacked a lot so be aware, surround yourself with good positive uplifting people and friends....DO NOT SECLUDE YOURSELF...it makes things worse. Listine to lots of messages and take time to relax...you just came off the field =) gald you went!

Do volunteer work. Serve others that are less fortunate than you are. A good homeless outreach project that can be done on the individual ofr community level is Project Hopebags - http://www.hopebags.com
Also, read your Bible daily and meditate on the readings. a good place to go to do this is The Word Among Us at http://www.wau.org/meditations/meditations.asp

SeekHis face~ Read your Bible everday even if you don't want to and stay on your knees in prayer. Make this a habit and even if you don't think it's helping do it anyway. That is what I keep getting told by people who don't even know each other, so they defiantely have something there. Besides how can we know God if we don't read His love letter to us?
