Hi Im searching for info about a alter that is discribed in the bible.
It is told to one to build the alter with directions how to do so.
The result is a electronic looking device. If one knows what im speaking about I thank you for info about and bible references.

Thanks to the asker here for inspiring some interesting answers. So, really, if atheists are already absent from God and don't believe in him, if there was really a hell, they would basically live their lives as normal and still be absent from God?

Please see the below question I posed to Christians,

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Atltv_xbLJZcp8nSKZnseR_sy6IX?qid=20060810085324AAYYIqw

It might be jumping the gun but after 15 minutes only one Christian person answered that this pleased him. Why in 15 minutes do you think there wasn't 100s of Christians applauding Atheists and Agnostics for loving without having Jesus in their lives?

I get much more traffic on my questions and dozens of responses usually right away.

What is your reaction to this, that after 15 minutes so few, only one as far as I can tell, bothered to applaud us for following the words of their Jesus, love!

Does it beg the question, why - what are they really about? Are they really about love?

I don't mean this to be antagonistic, I would think loving one another would be of the highest virture?

Why are people so critical of the muslim promise of virgins in the afterlife? I think it's very nice of them to look after so many retired nuns.

I was saved in a religion the other day. However while shopping around other religions to see if I got the best deal, I found another one that had an even better afterlife package. Their heaven is much more fancier and has more benefits. I tried telling my current religion about the new deal but they said that they cannot go any better on my afterlife.

Am I stuck with my current religion's afterlife or can I move to the other religion and be saved in it? I want to be sure because I dont want to build my hopes up in this new religion just find out I have to go to the sucky heaven.

Thank you for your help in advance.

christian says that they all will enter the heaven if they believe in Jesus as the savior. my question is....
where is the justice for those who do good and bad deeds?? if this is the truth, that means, I can do any sins as much as I want and when death is coming to me, I will say I believe in JEsus??
Wow,.....How poor for those who are good people :) they have to work very hard and hold their desires from sins. :)

It just a thought :)

If Heaven has no sorrow, how would you know that you were happy after being there for awhile? Human beings like challenges in life. And we were given free will, Heaven takes that free will away because with out free will you cannot make mistakes. Without mistakes there is no pain. If there are no bad decissions, mistakes, or errors in heaven, it seems life in heaven would get boring after a while. You would no longer know what happiness is, due to sadness is non-existant. So, in theory, can a human being truly remain happy for extended periods of time without knowing sadness or pain? Or does life just end up a day to day existance with what ever you want when ever you want it? Just a thought, don't think much of the theory of hell either.

Genesis 9:21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

Why would god have a drunk like Noah take care of such an important task? Wouldn't a god who could perform miracles and change matter and move large object at will, have done a much more efficient job of saving the animals?

We’ve all heard of the ontological argument, the teleological argument and the cosmological argument for the existence of god. But...

This morning I made myself a triple shot of espresso and sat out in my back yard to enjoy it. I was watching my 2 year old daughter merrily pick flowers from my garden as hummingbirds darted back and forth in front of the feeder. Bees buzzed around a butterfly bush as the sun played hide and seek behind some puffy clouds. I took a sip of my hot dark brown elixir and as its nutty flavor percolated through my senses it hit me.

This is just too d^%^$ good. The universe does have a purpose and an esthetic. The divine must exist because this espresso is just way too good.

What do you think?

To clarify, I think there are many Christians who call themselves Christians, but do not try and live their life like Christ would. They do things such as judge and "cast the first stone" and so on.

So how many?

before your own God for having cast judgments on others? Are you so perfect as to be unafraid of God's judgment, and subsequent wrath? When you tell others that they are going to hell for not believing in Christ, you are in fact casting a judgment.

How do I develop constant a relationship with God. I feel so guily that I have "forgotten" about him only until I need something. I feel like a hypocrite and like He doesn't want to help me because I only recognize him when in need instead of all the time like I should. My faith is weak and I need help!!!

I woud rather disintigrate than bow down before the Holy Spirit. There's no way in hell I'm going to repent for even one single masturbation I committed here on Earth, let alone all the adulterous relationships and coveting and most of the other commandments I've broken. I stand my ground. I will never never never repent. I swear to God. Believe me now.

What will happen to me? I always like to know in advance. What does the Bible say will happen to my wretched Soul?

I believe it is talking about our new birth in Christ. It shows that we have been seperated from our old nature of sin and been seperated unto a new nature thats in Christ ,uncorruptable Holy and that this is done by God not by man . Eternaly set aside for God . If you want take a look at Colosians and give me your thoughts. Ill be here.
