Ahh..this is the same question I constantly ask myself.

I was born Catholic, and my family members are pious people, but over the years, I've started questioning the existence of God. Today, I've reached a consensus with myself; a mutual agreement. And it is this. Whether a God exists, I do not know. But a Higher Power definitely exists. Its hard to imagine that the world came to be on its on. So there you go. Don't know about God or if thats what you want to call it. But a higher power definitely exists.

Yes, in fact the Bible tells us that "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the Light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light that lighteth every mana that cometh into the world. He was in the world and the world was made by him and the world knew him not. He came into his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them he gave Power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONGST US (AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY, THE GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER) full of grace and truth.....""the LAW was given by Moses but GRACE and Truth came by Jesus Christ.

athough lily has a long and intricate answer to this question, it is not true. We are not born with God in us, nor are we in communion with God all the time... We are born with a sinful nature and it is only when we accept Jesus into our lives that Jesus becomes our mediator. Good works are not enough to take us to God. Athough we are created in the image of God, we are not God and are in need of Jesus's help and blood to save us.

God--humanities answer to the questions that science couldn't answer at the time of his/her/its creation for example: Volcanic Erruptions--God of Volcanoe; Sunrise/Set--God of the Sun; Moonrise/Moonset/Cycles--God of the Moon (usually a Godess)...etc, the list goes on and on. As science advanced so did the concept of God...today God exists to address questions of philisophy such as: Why am I here? or Why do I exist? These are rhetorical questions that basically have so many answers as to render them mute. That's why God exists. PEACE!

Well, look at it like this:-
The Yeti appears to exist,
The Loch Ness Monster appears to exist,
U.F.O's appear to exist,
Psychic Powers appear to exist,
Ghosts appear to exist.
So, maybe God exists.
I wouldn't be the least surprised.
