It seems really hard for me to believe that life's complexity (DNA,brain, eyes, etc.) which is so incredibly complex came about by chaos (big bang) and an un-guided process (evolution)> I have no problem believing in those theories, It just makes more sense that an intellignet creator was guiding them along the way> comments>>

Lots of times when I watch basketball, the winning team members always thank God for helping them win the game. If that's true and God helped them win, then isn't is illogical not to also believe that he helped the other team lose?

If that's true then why not mention that in an interview? Are they afraid they might make him mad and lose another game?

For instance in "Grounded for LIfe"...why do they make Sister Helen seem soo mean. Nuns arent really soo strict and mean and harsh. They simply give up everything to follow God for the rest of their lives. They are very innocent and gentle. I know nuns so whoever answers dont give me any bullcrap answers. Why are nuns and monks put in such a bad light? I dont understand.

It's such a shame that so many people can only chose right / wrong if there is some eternal reward or punishment.

agnostic here, not trying to convert anyone, question did the sky fall in any country that made gay marriage legal

At one time in America, because of democracy, women didn't vote, black people were slaves, America at one time didn't think Adolf Hitler was "our problem".

Would it not have been for the courage of leadership in trying times that labored and produced a civil rights movement, and mustered a war effort against evil, if not for that America would not be as great as it is today.

Sometimes being in the majority doesn't make one right.

So I ask this question, has the sky falled anywhere on Earth where two gay people got married?
Vermont? Canada?

If you don't like gay marriage, send a blender, don't go, trust me, if you don't like gay marriage, the gay people you know in your life are probably not going to invite you anyway.

peace

Does he only exist because of the people that believe in him, and the people that wrote stories about him? Is God's existence just a way for some human's to find reason in life? Please, no bible quotes, just give me YOUR opinion.

I just think that it is funny how, these christians are always looking to make a buck, whether it be passing collection baskets sveral times during a service or selling CD's at outrages prices. By outrages I mean $14. What does this mean, that christians dont want poor people to get the message? Using Jesus to make money is wrong, right?

Not wanting to ignite a heated argument, but just an interesting question. Obviously it is easier to deny the existence of God than to believe in it (eg: a lot of atheists like to deny the existence of God for convenience), but are there really any atheists 100% convinced in their beliefs? Christians require faith to believe in God, is this well-founded and have 100% conviction in this belief?

Can I have faith that a one eyed one horned purple monster created the human being?

I have no empirical evidence, but I have faith, deep faith I know it in my heart.

I called the one eyed one horned purple people eater "lord" or "god".

My god the one eyed one horned purple people eater has given me some laws. One of these laws is that people older than 29 are not allowed to get married.

If people in America who are older than 29 keep getting married, we run the risk of being smited.

Do I have a legitimate reason for trying to amend the Constitution of the United States of America?

Once you understand my faith in the one eyed one horned purple people eater is based on faith, and no empirical evidence, wouldn't you automatically say no don't put your morality on me?

Someone is going to get the point, maybe not you, but someone is going to get the point.

Don't like gay marriage? Send a blender, the sky hasn't fallen anywhere theres been gay marriage.
thanks!

shy away from our Heavenly Fathers love?? All God wants to do is love us, He is not some angry, vengeful Father who longs to punish us, nothing can ever contain His lovingkindness. He wants to be with us, thats why He sent Jesus. It just baffles me how shallow our faith can be at times even after everything He has done for us collectivley and individually, be honset here. I think its fear, so why are we so afraid to let Him love us the way He wants to? I know we live in a fallen world but It's a battle, isn't it? Serious, honest thoughts...
