in the al-qran there is already the moon god(ess) but in a diminished view. Allah is more like a title, like Al-Lat, Al-Urza and Manat. some "apologetics" muslims wil try to cover the bases, but as the many forms of monotheism, the Islam comes from a previous pagan religion.

Since Islam is an Abrahamic faith, it does borrow a lot from the Pagan religions. Christianity is probably the most guilty of this though. Check out the holidays and rituals.

Muslims did thier level best to wipe any and all traces of these rituals off the face of the earth.
Thankfully many of these books were brought back to Europe during the crusades and preserved.
You can find them in the British Museum and in the Louvre.

Worshipping a rock, fasting for a month, pilgrimage to Mecca, using the MOON to determine when to worship, etc. Islam = Judaism, gnostic Christianity, and pagan Arab religion all squashed together in a big evil ball

I have read a little about it, but not enough to comment.

Very similar to the catholic church adopting Roman and Greek ideas.
