Lots of times when I watch basketball, the winning team members always thank God for helping them win the game. If that's true and God helped them win, then isn't is illogical not to also believe that he helped the other team lose?

If that's true then why not mention that in an interview? Are they afraid they might make him mad and lose another game?

We are to praise and worship the Lord, not condemn Him when things don't go our way that's why Christian athletes thank the Lord.

Besides, if we never lost a basketball game, how would we know how great winning feels?

It is NOT GOD'S FAULT when a team loses a basketball game, it is the teams fault when they lose a basketball game because they did not play like a team.

No because both team before a game ask god to help them get a victory and it all comes down to who's the best team. the team with better skillz and communication is goin to win of course.

Because they are the ones that played the game, Not God. God may have helped them play the game, only If they prayed for His helped. But even them God did not play the game for them. It is the people who play the game. Not God.

if God thinks its best for them to lose a game, whats the point of them arguing? Accept it and get better dont try to look bad in front of america and blame Someone else and act all immature.

haha, funny question, i have no clue..dont want the public outcry if they did maybe...whats funny, G-d doesnt really play a part in a win or loss. G-d made them, its up to them to choose their own destiny - win or lose!

Amen!
It makes absolutely no sense to give God thanks for a victory, if you are not going to blame God for a loss. I've thought that idiotic for years.
