Because that's a fact they conveniently choose to forget in their little closed minds. As a matter of fact, Jesus was called "rabbi" (teacher) by his followers. They conveniently tend to forget that fact as well. Another fact they forget is that Jesus said to worship God, his father, and not him. So what happens? They set up a religion to worship Jesus who said he wasn't to be worshipped!!! Seems to me, the reformed Judaism taught by Jesus should be the True Religion and not all this other garbage that passes for religion.

For the same reason the Jews didn't accept Jesus and crucified him. Misunderstanding, perhaps? Pride. It's a number of things. Though, it's not really just Christians that hate Jews. I mean, I don't hate them at all, so don't really get me wrong, but a lot of people do hate Jews. It's people in general that say things like that. I think it's just because they're different.
Answer me t his though--why do so many people hate Mormons?
Intolerance. Human nature.
It has nothing to do with the fact that Joseph Smith was a Mormon...or that Steve Young was a Mormon. Or that Thurl Bailey converted to Mormonism. It's just because sometimes people fear what they don't understand.
People probably don't think about Christ being a Jew when they make the blanket statements that they do about the culture. They just say things. That doesn't always mean they hate them.
I don't think it's anymore than intolerance, really. People who hate anyone are just incompetant. If they thought about it, they wouldn't hate at all because hate is a major source of many grievances throughout history in every culture.

I do not feel that way.
If some Christians do hate Jewish people, they are either misguided or misinformed.
In Response to BOB- Jesus was not a Christian, but was in fact of the Jewish heritage. Being Jewish does not describe a religion, but a nationality. The Jewish people practice Judaism as a belief, which is their religion. A Christian is one who follows Jesus CHRIST (christ-ian)., and manifests the qualities or Spirit of Jesus.

answer: Jews refuse to transform. That irritates or maybe enrages some Christians and Muslims. by applying refusing to transform, that calls the later religions into question. Others hate Jews because of the concentration on G-d, faith, family individuals, guidance and assisting others over leaders or politicians - like Hitler who needed a rustic centred on him and the Nazis, no longer on G-d. # # # "fact" looks to forget that converts have continually been embraced in Judaism, by applying G-d Himself. Ruth substitute into one properly established convert. The Khazar accusation is an previous antisemitic stay sparkling of that would not carry any valid argument. The Khazars diminished away formerly any considerable touch with ecu Jews interior the Diaspora. Jews are Jews, no count what their ethnic history is. Linking to web pages that recommend killing Jews could enable others comprehend the place he thinks "fact" is.

Early Christians were frustrated with their Jewish contemporaries for not converting, so some of the language used got a bit harsh. The meanness then made it into the New Testament, which Christians read and use as support for anti-Semitism.

Ok I'm raised Catholic and I don't dislike any particular race or religion. But I think most people who are Christian and dislike Jewish people are that way because they were taught that the Jewish people are the ones that condemmed and killed Jesus. The thing that amazes me is that the whole basis of Christianity is forgiveness. Ugh people!

Anti Semites seem to run a little more rampant in Catholicism...many believe that the Jews are the Anti-Christ because they denied and ultimately killed Jesus.
Generally...very generally, Protestants are raised to believe that Jews are stills God's chosen people. The idea is that Jesus extended his blessing over all the gentiles through his sacrifice.

I don't know as I'd describe it as disliking Jews. I suppose some of the difficulty could come from the fact that, even today, many sects of Jews still do not believe that Jesus was the Christ. They still await their messiah.
This was a problem that Jesus had with them for the longest time, especially since they, above everyone should have recognized who he was.
Other than that, in today's society...it could be simply a contradiction of their beliefs and they defend it..ummm, vigorously...the same could be said of Christians.

You assume too much. I like Jewish people and Christians. Your assumption indicates hate - perhaps you are a hypocrite.

There is good and bad in all races. While it is true that Jesus and the early apostles were Jewish. So was the ones who killed him and tortured and beat the servants of god.
Some still hate Jews because they killed Jesus forgetting he was a jew.
If a black man kills a black man do you hate all black men?
God cast them off as his people and took on those who were spiritual jews or converts. So now when the bible says Jews it means converts.

Because Jesus was a different kind of Jew. Jesus didnt exalt himself over everyone. Jesus knew God loves everyone, not just the Jews. There are many Jews who actually believe non-Jews are not even human. Those Jews are extremists, and those are the ones who give Judaism a bad name
