In the temple, he did use violent force, but he did not harm anyone.

No Jesus did not condone violence because He taught if someone hit you on one cheek, give him the other to hit.

The Bible and violence, are you kidding? God is the greatest mass murderer in history.

References: Genesis 6:11-17 and Genesis 7:11-24
Some examples:

GE 6:13 - And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

GE 6:17 - And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Seems to me that God (for you believers) is annoyed with humanity other than his buddy Noah, and decides to kill (murder) every living thing on the face of the earth, except of course Noah and his family - got to have a few friends left.

Do not repay evil with evil.

If your enemy strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other.

Love your enemies.

It's all over. Christ was and is all about love. He never did condone violence, and when his disciples tried to fight for hijm, he told them to stop, and healed his wounded enemy.

He got pretty violent with some money-changers in a temple once, didn't he? I guess it's the good old lesson of "Do as I say, not as I do" I suppose. *sigh* The hypocrite's credo.

Brenda's World must be a retard. The question was about what Jesus said, not the old testament.

He endorsed hell.

I don't know of anything more violent that that. Regardless of what else he said, if he endorsed the idea of eternal suffering for a finite crime, that is terribly violent.
