To realize that life here has essentially no meaning except for whatever meaning we create (e.g. by adoptiing an existing thought or belief system or by making our own meaning). With this realization we can either choose to be satisfied with our 'virtual reality' or we can use the ideas of impermanence and fragility as motivation to directly experience Something that shows us that we're not these individual bodies. There is no primary reason for life at all, since mans intellectual abilities grew he sought after a reason of who he was and what he was, he created different Gods to worship hoping he would find the answer from them, all they could ever come up with was speculation of what where when and why, then religion came on board their reason for life come from the story of Adam & eve the "myth of all myths" which confuses people to this day, so it is not so important for the reason to life but to how you live your life today, you are not judged for the reason to life you are judged for your merits in your life, so be true to self be happy prosper and above all love your self so you can love others.

We were with the Lord in Heaven and we were able to learn and enjoy the freedom and love we are able to encounter. Then we are tested by the King himself and given a chance to come to Earth and take the test of Satan to see if we can pass that test.
So life is a series of tests for us and by passing them we return to God and live with him. We all do in one way or the other though but as to how we pass the tests given as to which level of the Celestial
heaven we obtain.
From the lowest of us to the highest of us we will attain paradise with the Lord and God.

The reason to life for me is :
A free will to live your life through choices rather right or wrong. We all make mistakes, it is our responsibility to own up to them and learn from them so we don't fall back into the previous disposition we were in. Our choices are what mold us and form us in who we are today and who we become tomorrow. Like wedding vows. "For better or for worse and in sickness and in health".
I as a christian feel if I didn't have my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in my life and live through HIM, I would not be who I am today.
Nice question! :-)

It is a little difficult to explain my understanding but I will try. God desired companionship with equal abilities to God in the areas God thought most important; ability to love, be compassionate, be forgiving, be helpful and to chose to be that way or not including loving God or not.
God created human as the fulfillment of that. My purpose is to chose ot be that to/for God and to help others to be that as well.
