They are just wrong?

I believe that everyone believes what they believe. If they didn't, they wouldn't believe it.

You can't believe up is UP and up is DOWN at the same time.

Everyone believes that what they believe is right.
That's why its called religion, not MATH.

This poses another question - do you believe it is wrong for someone to believe in what they believe whether you believe it is right or wrong?

PS - Christianity is a path, not a "religion" - yes, religion means "set of beliefs", but people have given that word a BAD REP.

Religion is a general term used to describe the worship and the devotion to a spiritual being. As a Christian, I believe and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The first great commandment is: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength" (Deuteronomy 6:5). Exodus 34:14 states "Don't worship any other god, because I , the Lord . . . am a jealous God". Isaiah 45:22 says "I am God. There is no other God." You cannot be a Christian and not believe whole heartedly in the Word of the Lord (the Bible). For this reason, I believe in only my Lord. My Lord is the only true One. There are many "religions" - I certainly don't debate that.

i guess thats more of a personal thing. how willing are you to commit to your religion? some religions/beliefs dont require you to be fully committed as long as u "believe". And others like islam are "a way of life". and then theres those in the middle that are a little bit of both! (NOT TO SAY THAT ISLAM IS AN EXTREMIST RELIGION, OR BEING AGNOSTIC IS A BAD THING AT ALL! im just giving examples- there was offense to any of those beliefs/religions =} )

I believe mine, because my God says he is the I AM that I AM, the only True God, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the creator and sustainer of all. If I believe Him, then I have to believe all that He says, including that He is the Only God, and therefore, by worshiping Him, I am choosing to believe what He tells me that the other religions are false. It is all or nothing with Him, and I choose all.

I don't think Christianity is a religion. During Jesus time, mankind was searching for God, and that's what religion is, man's search for God. I think that God revealed himself to mankind, in the form of Jesus Christ, for that very purpose, to put an end to the confusion. I believe God himself came to this earth to reveal himself to us, but two thousand years later, the majority of the world still does not believe, and that's why there's wars and confusion.

what kind of person would stay in a religion that they considered false?

the rest of the religions have been distorted through time, that would be in the case of Judaism and Christianity. (they were once the truth, but directly and indirectly, they have been changed by people, through translations, etc. example, the elevation of Jesus from Prophet to the son of God).

The reason I believe Christianity is the only way is because the Bible says so. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the light, NO ONE comes to the Father, but by me." In John it says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved", there are many like that and they all speak of Jesus as the only way.

All religions contradict on some points. Therefore, if one is right, then the others have to be wrong.

God Bless

Its about faith. Faith that what you believe is the truth. If you seek the truth in anything, you will find what you believe. I believe that God is and always was eternal. I believe that Jesus came and died for all mankind. I believe that the Holy Spirit helps me. I believe that I will go to heaven when I die. That's my faith. I did some research and I believe it to be true.

I feel it is because Jesus himself said im the truth, the light and no one comes to the father but by him. so if we want to get to god we have to follow jesus so christianity is the way and its not a religion its a ministry.
