knowledge of modern man, would you be seen as a God?

Think about it.Let's say that you took a plane and called it God's Chariot and you took a machine gun and called it God's instrument of death and thunder and you took a laser pointer and called it the light to the way and took a lighter and called it God's hand of fire and you took medicines that they did not have that could cure things that then were incurable and told them that you were God's messenger and you would cure those who came onto you..

Would the primitives of a extremely less advanced culture see your devices as works of God?Would your ability to fly and to kill without raising a sword cause them to believe that only God could be that powerful?Would your ability to cure things like infections be seen as Holy?Would you have been able to start a following? With all that you know today you would certainly impress even the most powerful of men.

by some, yes. an interesting look at this is the story (there's a cartoon) called "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court".

It was quite fun. . about a guy who travels back in time and has a thorough knowledge of how all modern technology works, and so he starts making stuff back in the middle ages (like motorcycles, etc.). . it's worth seeing.

That said. .

If you could do the things Jesus did you WOULD be God.

Like speak to the wind and the waves and have them obey you.

Like raise the dead, and create tons of food instantly, and turn water into wine (without any technology, just you).

Even more impressive, I suppose, would be speaking the earth and the universe into existence, as He did about 4000 years prior to His time here on earth.

Now THAT would be impressive, and WOULD cause people to think you're a God.

The Jews wouldn't, because they believe 'God' is a spirit who does not and would not pose as a human being. If you want to pass as the messiah, your weapons and modern inventions wouldn't help you with mainstream Jews, because the messiah was not expected to perform magic. You might be able to get away with being accepted as a holy man, like Moses, if you came back with a laser and said that 'God' had given it to you on Mt. Sinai along with a list of do's and don'ts.

OK, lets get somthing straight, Jesus and everyhting in that time DID EXIST, its proven. Weather Jesus was Actualy the son of god or not isnt proven, its also not proven that his body was mising from that cave thing they put his body in. Everything else is proven though. Anyway if you did do what you said you would probably change the course of history and you would be our religious leader. Either that or you would be accused of witchcraft and killed.

I would actually probabaly die in about a week due to the fact that our bodies have none of the immunities and antibodies to the diseases that were around several thousands of years ago.
