I do.I saw an angel in a super quick day dream.I was wide awake. It hit like a bolt of lightning through my head, while I drove down the street...She reached out with her hand and said "come on"and she pulled me up this dirt hill.Huge trees all around,a path with dry, tall grass, the sun up and to my left, about three o'clock, sort of golden.I was angry at the time, but afterwards, complete joy and peace ran through me.It was awesome and happened only once during my 27 year life......

non offensive, worded in such a fashion as to make it a question suitable for posting on Yahoo Answers, and someone deletes it. Are people really that offended that an agnostic would ask for prayers? Wow, what do you say to that?

And Jesus said
“If those who lead you say ‘see the Kingdom is in the sky’, then the birds will precede you.
“If they say that ‘it is in the sea’ then the fish will precede you. Rather the Kingdom is inside of you and it is outside of you”.
Does this mean that we don’t need church anymore? And don’t say it’s not God inspired, it was buried for about 1500 years!!!

I hear from Christians all the time that God speaks to them or they have a relationship with God or Jesus. I'm curious as to what form of communication is taking place in these claims.

Please, only real answers, no jokes. And Please please PLEASE no scripture... i'm asking about your personal experiences not what the Bible says. I have one, i can look it up if i need to.

"...and brought about the rise of secularization and moral chaos"?
I read the following article in the paper today about a new creation museum being built in Ohio.
http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060806/NEWS10/608060348
For those of you that don't feel like reading the article, it basically states that this museum was built to further the creationist view (ok with me, to each his own). I was kind of irritated, however, at the fact that the founder tried to equate a belief in evolution with, ostensibly, and abject lack of morals. I might concede that evolution may have slightly undermined the authority of the bible. OK, maybe it's brought about a rise in secularization. Even so, why is that then equated with MORAL CHAOS?! As if a person that is not a creationist has no ability to distinguish between right and wrong, and thus perpetrates society's ills with abandon?
What eveidence supports that conclusion?

That the lives we live, here and now are not all there is to our existence? That the earth really is a school, and our purpose here is to better our spiritual selves? That heaven, whether you perceive it to be full of fluffy white clouds and angels, or reunion with long-passed loved ones, or God, is not full of people whom disparage each other because of religion, creed, race, or sexual preference? That reincarnation is real ("energy and matter are never destroyed, they merely change form"), and the only salvation for humankind? That the real lesson of Jesus's life and death was his achievement of the Christ Consciousness, and his triumph over the bonds of materiality and crass physical life ("rising from the dead")? That karma ("for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction") is neither good, nor bad, it just "is"? That if your life is going badly now, you and only you are to blame, and only you can fix it? That we won't be able to leave here until we undertand?

I like to consider myself to be a spiritual person, & I do believe in God, but I have a really hard time believing some of the stuff out of the bible! The DaVinci Code on the other hand, could be the truth. It makes perfect sense...it's not that far fetched! I know it is on the fiction shelf, but they are referring to the story. The ideas they present about Jesus makes perfect sense to me! What's your take...and please...serious answers only...and none of those that just want to preach the word of God...as if they really know and they were there as a witness to everything that they claim happened!!!

Why is it so popular? Do they believe they can put spells on people? Do they worship the devil? Are they all women? Do they have orgies and kill children?

Kent Hovind is largely responsible for the young earth creationist movement. Will his arrest for tax evasion open the eyes of those he has deceived?

I'm no fan of the IRS, but just read this and see what "Dr." Dino has to say in his own words.

I can't believe all atheists are hateful people. All the questions and answers are malicious remarks from people who don't believe in God.

Atheism = Sin

and why?

So Esau was a big dummy. He shouldn't have been so capricious with his birthright. But there's no commandment that says "Thou shall not take things for granted."
HOWEVER...
"Honor thy father and thy mother"....Jacob honorred his mother, but certainly not his father when he tricked him.
"Thou shall not kill"....Jacob killed off most of his brother's family.
"Neither shall thou steal"....Jacob stole both Esau's birthright, and his blessing. Easy to steal, maybe, but stolen.
"Neither shall thou covet thy neighbor's goods"....I would assume that extends to thy brother's birthright.

So how come Jacob's still the good guy with God? Because the commandments weren't written yet? He didn't know better? If Jacob was meant to have the birthright, wouldn't it have been easier for God to have just pulled a switcheroo in-utero, and have Jacob be the firstborn? Would have saved alot of grief and drama!
