It just takes one person with hope enough for the world, or at least that is what I've always believed. Just this very morning I woke up very early, just after the sunrise, and as I looked out over the pine trees and into the sky at the clouds going by, I said, "God, please don't let us destroy ourselves". I worry about these wars going on and I worry about religious extremists. How can one believe that death is better than life? I have lived the most painful life imaginable, yet every day I have hope for something better, and have hope that people might change and actually be kind and loving and truthful to one another. I'm not a particularly religious person, but I believe in a higher power. I usually don't understand why my higher power chooses to give a good life to one and a horrible life to another, but despite the bad in people and the bad in the world, one can choose to be happy with themselves and the world itself and have hope despite it all.

Yes.
The way to do this is through improving education.
In fact, we have been doing this for generations. I know that it is easy to look at the news (which tends to be all bad) and think the world it going to hell in a handbasket. However, if you read a little history you will quickly learn that it was worse in almost every period in the past.
People died younger, more children and infants died, wars have always been there (ever hear of the 30 years war or the 100 years war?), poverty has been the scourge of the majority of people and even the rich used to live lives not anywhere near the level of luxury enjoyed by even modestly middle class people of Europe and the Americas.
Sure, there are still parts of the world that are worse off, but that wasn't different in the past.
Will the current conflicts in the middle east become World War III? Maybe, and maybe not.
However, if we keep educating people better with each passing generation (and we are, for the most part) then things will improve, slowly.

Yes – eventually. The human race has made great progress despite the wars and setbacks. Education is now more available The United Nations though not perfect, is making a huge difference to many poor countries and in the way that disputes are settled - the world bank has canceled debts - more communities and countries are cooperating............
According to many different prophecies we are entering the age of enlightenment - peace love and harmony
The more people who strive for this ideal - the sooner will be the reality.
We are in a transition toward enlightenment, which will also bring about much death and destruction - through extreme weather, natural disasters and wars, which will cause much fear and revulsion.
Most religious people will say this is the end of the world, as foretold in the bible, however the truth is more like - the end of the world as we have known it.
Only when mankind has been brought to its knees, will they turn to God and ask for forgiveness - only then can we make a collective quantum leap in our evolution towards enlightenment - peace love and harmony
As an individual, you don't have to wait till then to experience enlightenment - just ask and you will receive - God bless

It's going to take a good leader, say like Bill Gates, who will have a heart and a mind, and of course a good plan, that everyone agrees on,and the Grace Of God!!It can be done, but someone has got to start somewhere.Everything that we have done since the beginning has started with a single thought.

No! I think its going to take something pretty drastic to change mankind for the better. Over the years crime rate and other of fences are on the increase due to the way we live and society. To be honest i feel it all stems from GREED!

Yes, I believe that we are in a transition now of realizing that organized religion is basically set up by rules to supress the Congregation of their freedom of free will. Many people are turning to Spirituality and learning that God is an all loving God and that his gift to us was the gift of choice. By being able to choose your own actions rather than being ruled by the Church allows us to learn our lessons in life by choosing hopefully to make the right choice. If you make the wrong choice you will learn that there are consequences and God allows you to experience those consequences. I also think that Church's tell you that God will send you to hell if you make a mistake or sin. I believe that God is a loving and forgiving Father that would not make you suffer for eternity. As a parent, ask yourself if you could send your child small or adult to hell for committing a sin of any magnitude or would you forgive them and explain that their actions caused other's pain? Spiritualism is a form of religion and we do believe that God is our Father and that his God source is within us encouraging us to live a fruitful life of love. I believe that he wants us to let our light shine and share our love with others and follow in Jesus footsteps. That is the least that we can try to do to the best of our ability because he died on the Cross for our sins to be forgiven. That is why I can not believe that God would send us to hell to burn forever. I think that when we cross over that there are levels in Heaven where we go to be with like minded people who have lived similar lives. There God's chosen Angel's teach these Souls what the meaning of love and light is and show them the pain and the joy that they caused others during their lifetime and allow them to feel that pain to a greater extent than the person they harmed and a greater joy to the persons they loved and helped. This is only done when we first cross over so that we can judge our actions and feel what we caused others to feel from our mistakes or good actions. After that they begin to learn to forgive themselves, and see that they are a Soul of pure Energy and light that had been living in a body on Earth. As they grow closer to God and learn how their lessons caused reactions they move up another level closer to the God source and are allowed to help others grow in love and light.

Take a look at history. Nothing we have done have made us better. Instead we think we know more and have more but in reality we are so far from God that we are not even allowed to mention His name at work for fear of being politically incorrect...

without a god - that way the human race would finally think for and depends on itself instead of relying for religion as its crutch.

Yes I think that if we stopped having Jews control everything and stopped mixing our races and went back to being segregated it would become better for everyone.
