And Jesus said
“If those who lead you say ‘see the Kingdom is in the sky’, then the birds will precede you.
“If they say that ‘it is in the sea’ then the fish will precede you. Rather the Kingdom is inside of you and it is outside of you”.
Does this mean that we don’t need church anymore? And don’t say it’s not God inspired, it was buried for about 1500 years!!!

The Gospel of Thomas and other Gnostic writings are evidence that Jesus' teachings might have been quite different from the ones we have today. Also check out the Gospel of Truth.

Personally, I see more truth in these Gnostic writings than in the Bible. They also weren't tampered with by the Church over the centuries, either, so their theology is more "pure" than the New Testament writings.

Anyone who knows scripture can see that the gospel of thomas is simply a bad cut and paste job, interweaving wierd gnostic stuff with original material from one of the four real gospels.

There's nothing in the gospel of thomas that you need to know.

It's old, but it's fake, and it doesn't reflect authentic Christian beliefs and practices.

And it's not inspired either ... the term "inspired" means that something was written down by sacred writers, exactly as God intended it, under the direct influence of the Holy Spirit.

Don't waste your time with it!

Just because something was buried for about 1500 years it doesn't mean that it is God inspired.
If it goes against the true word of God, then it is not truly God inspired.
You don't need to go to Church to be a Christian. But going to Church can be a wonderful thing.
Going to church is for fellowship, to learn about God, to be inspired, and to organize outreach events in the community where you can reach out help the poor.

You have to realize there are going to be a lot of deception. If you believe God is all powerful and Mighty then you can trust that all the books that were meant to be in the Bible are. Satan isn't dumb so he inspired many to write other gosples that are not of God to lead many astray. I would stay away from any other gosple and trust what God has giving to us. If God wants you to check something out he will himself let you know, but like someone said because something is found and written thousands of years ago and have some words in there similiar to the scripture does not mean its from God. Test the manuscripts and if it goes against the Bible then you must know that the sources are not of God. God would not contradict himself. But like I said you would not be smart to read these new gosples when God gave us the ones that we need. God says not to add or substract to the word. Be guided by the Holy spirit.

The Kingdom of God is not in meat or drink but in rightoues, peace and joy in the Holyghost. The kingdom was given to the church Luke12:32 to have the Kingdom you have to be born again John 3:3 if you have the Holyghost you have the Kingdom.

The gospel of Thomas was not created until around 200AD and was created to support the gnostic heresay. It was never hidden in fact early Christian writers mention it and spent much time refuting its contents along with the other "gospels" such as the Gospel Barnabas, the Gospel of Joseph, the Gospel of Hermas.

I haven't read it yet, so I can't make a real decision.

BTW, the Pyramids have been buried for longer than the Gospel of Thomas. That doesn't make them "God inspired", no matter how religious sounding the heiroglyphics.

That is a diferent phrasing of the words of Jesus and Pagan laws.
If you can not find me with in your self you will not find me without.
One is from a Patrical religion the other from a mostely Matrical religion.
Most of us still need some typeof religion as we still do not listen to our souls ( those sparks of the CREATOR of ALL THINGS that It threw of from its body before the creation of the physical world and became the souls of ALL that was and will be).
