Because accepting Jesus as your Savior takes more than just praying a simple prayer. True acceptance means you die to your old self, and start living for Him. True Christianity is abiding in Jesus till God calls you home. So really, it's not easy at all. The Christian life is NOT EASY. But it sure is worth it.

Our culture is different than when Jesus Christ was walking on the earth. Back then they had someone they could set their eyes on or touch. Now it would be pure faith to believe in God and there are a lot of people with different sources for information that are against Christ. Yes it is easy to accept and it is free, but remember God gave us free will and not everyone will accept God even though His work is staring them in the face everyday and night. Also Satan is deceiving people all the time and people will accept false gods. It is very easy to say that you are a Christian, but deep down inside do you really believe that? I do. Sometimes people just don't have the information they need to accept so it is our job to go find these people and tell them about Jesus Christ.

It is easy for someone who is raised believing that. If you imagine a chinese man claims he is the savior, and for a moment presume that the LORD indeed sent a savior for the World in China, would it be hard for you to accept it?
Jesus was not accepted by his own disciples as their savior, and they left him to be crucified. He could not save himself, from a rude and crude Roman army which would be defeated by almost any modern army of the weakest nation that you can think of in a few days today. So, how can the all powerful God become so helpless in front of a few soldiers armed with sticks and swords.
There are many issues such as the ones I have raised why people do not find it easy to believe Jesus as your savior.
Would you appoint a person who can not ever win a single game of tennis to be the coach to teach your child tennis? If not, how can you expect an average person to believe in a person to save you when he could not save himself and was indebted to others to continue his mission?
In my view the disciples of Christ were HIS SAVIORS, if you really think about it!! If the disciples had also been killed off, there would be no Christianity today. Their guilt spread the faith.
I hope this would make sense to you some day.

Conversion is a very difficult thing. Acceptance from Agnostic is not so hard. Also, you appear to be a born again christian. You see there is a difficulty there. Most born again christians don't allow free thought on evolution and such and push many scientific people away. They don't need easy answers. They don't need natural truth. They need truth about God. And one prayer salvation, though it seems effective enough, you must remember that works will always follow faith. Granted this is a Catholic perspective, but one that many Protestants and Fundamentalists accept. Paul said, "Faith, without works, is dead."
You teach the best and safest path to salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, but you don't know that it is the only path. The only path DOES lead through Jesus at Judgement, but that does not mean we are allowed to condemn people, if you use this tactic you are liable to be seen as a hypocrite.
Better, is to describe Jesus teachings, in a truthful manner and possibly in historical context. Slowly turn them into better people, who can, and may one day accept Jesus. And if not in this life, pray that they are able to accept Him at judgement, and that they are acceptable to Him.
Peace.

People have a hard time accepting something these days that they can't see feel or touch. One has to accept Christ as their savior through faith in his sacrifice on the cross for our sins. It wasn't only these times though, remember that after he had risen from the dead, Thomas had to put his fingers in the nail holes in Jesus hands before he could accept that he was risen. Faith is a difficult thing for many people. it is not our jobs as Christians to try to convince someone to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, it is our job to plant the seeds by showing Christian love and telling people of the good news about christ. We plant, another waters, and God grows.
Just hang in and keep on spreading the word.
God bless you.

its kinda like saying me asking why you cant accept allah as your lord. i can sit here all day and tell you that its right, and that you're blind to the truth, and i can believe it just as strongly as you believe in jesus. and i can even KNOW its right. and no matter how much you have faith in your lord, i've got faith in mine. and you cant prove that i'm wrong, the same way i cant prove that you're wrong for believing in jesus either.
now, i'm not a muslim, but i hope you get the point here. faith is a very personal thing, and to really believe in something takes a certain thing from inside of you. the answers arent all given, and you need to make decisions and judgment calls on things. but, thats the whole idea, if something gives you all the answers, thats not faith, thats being told what to do. faith requires you to accept that you dont have all the answers, but you're willing to believe anyway. chances are good that if you were raised as a buddhist, you'd have a different set of beliefs, if you were raised muslim, you'd have another set..... i personally think all faith is good, as long as you dont push it on others, and dont discriminate against people that disagree. and i was brought up as a strict catholic. overtime though, i felt i could only be a true catholic christian if i took the time to fully examine what i had been taught, including the parts of christianity that dont make much sense in modern life, the parts of the bible that contradict each other, and the corruption that has happened over the years in the church. i came to my own conclusions, and i know what god and religion mean to me.

I'm sorry Jesus is not easy to accept as a savior. Yes I believe he may have been a good person. But I'm not sure of that bc there is no historical evidence of him even existing, besides christmas which is a holiday to supposedly celebrate his birth is actually the same day as a pagan holiday.

It is not! Try to see it from other people's point of view! If they weren't raised with the religion, it may be something foreign to them. Would you just give up and convert to Islam, or would you hold onto your own personal beliefs, whatever they may be?
For those raised WITH Christianity, and then leave it, well that is their choice, most of them think they are doing the right thing, rather than deliberately and wickedly blaspheming and seeking out evil to participate in it. Come on now, there is a lot in this world to make people doubt things, and religion is not excluded. It is hard, actually hard, for many people, to accept something like that, because it goes against thoughts, perspectives, and beliefs they already have formed before it.

Keep on ministering to them. Do you believe in an ultimate destiny? The reason why I ask this is because I believe their are people are destined to be reprobates therefore they close their hearts to the messengers that were sent to them others hearken the warnings and avoid eternal damnation.
If Jesus were to walk among us today you would be surprised of how much he would be despised, those who saw him perform a miracle like restore a broken limb would believe it was a hoax. They did it during Jesus' time they even said that he was possessed by a demon and are we being Jesus' servants better than our Master certainly not, they rejected him and we will be rejected also . When you minister to them and they reject you don't let your spirit be broken keep trying. God chose the foolish to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of this world to confound the things which are mighty (Corinthians 1-27). The world sees Jesus' message and the very concept of God as foolishness the world lacks the ability to discern what it true lasting being blindfolded by that treacherous fallen angel.

If accepting Jesus Christ as your savior works for you, then good. But not everyone needs to be like you. I count my calories everyday, and work out at 5:15 every morning, except for the weekends, in which I spend about 2 hours doing cardio and weights. Because of that, my body is superior to yours, and I have enhanced serotonin levels, I'm healthier, and just feel good all around. I don't expect you to live like me, and follow my workout regimen. It works for me, but I don't expect it to work for you. Jesus Christ and all that religious stuff isn't for everyone. Grow up.

I am a Christian. For some people, it is easy to have faith in Christ. However, some people, be it due to the way they have been raised or circumstances in their lives, have trouble easily believing. You cannot force a belief on anyone. And, sad to say, posting questions like this will actually anger/offend some people, making them less likely to listen to what you have to say. The best way to show people the love of Christ is to simply live a life that glorifies Him and share His love with everyone.
