God CAN control every aspect of your life, if He so Wills, but he has given you the freedom to choose within limits. We are like the toddlers are to us. We give them some lattitude, but before they would fall down the stairs, you would come to their rescue.
Could you hold the toddler tightly and not allow it to walk at all? Yes! Would you do it? probably no. YOU allow the chlid to walk within limits, so the child is walking within your will. What the child chooses to do with the freedom is hers or his, but it would not do what it is allowed to do, if you did not want it.
I hope this makes sense.

In control as meaning controlling like a puppet master? Then of course not. God gave mankind something called free will. While God can both control events and people to do so would negate the gift of free will. This not not prelude pre-destination which simply means that God at all times is all knowing and all powerful. In short Gods call to Him who He will because He knows you will respond.

yes, God is in control...that doesn't mean that he manipulates a persons life....every one has the will to make decisions on their own. and, when you really look at God in the role of the creator, it isn't too difficult to realize that he is able to not only control all aspects of the universe, but he can also allow free will, while still knowing the outcome of our choices before we make them

My life, yes because I know God and he's on my side. But not your life son. You little smartalec college boy! You sound like you need a good @ss whooping. I'll bet you're just a scrawny little guy. I could take you and I'm an old man. You need some sense beat into your stuffings. If I could reach through that monitor of yours, I'd grab you by the scruff of your neck and rattle you until you cried for your mamma!

God wont force anyone to do anything. God only controls what you allow him to control. But God control everything in a general sense, but in terms of your personal life, we have the choice to let him lead us or reject him.

Not at all. Most religions believe in free will. This is, of course, a mystery to scientist, wether or not we actually have free will. Remember, the law in the Bible and other documents is for you, not God. It will help you be a better, happier person, with a fuller life.

A need for control arises only when driven by desire to reach a goal.
God has no such need, and therefore does not need to control anything. That is the greatness. Everything happens by itself the right way !

Yes, if he or she has put their faith in Jesus, . And sometimes, even when it feels like he's not there, he is, he's working behind the scenes. I've lost "friends" and I thought God'd turned against me, but in the long run I found out those friends were backstabbers God had done me a favor.
