SADISTIC:
The jealous and blood-thirsty God of Old Testament was always fond of flesh and blood. He accepted Abel's MEAT sacrifice but rejected Cain's grain. He couldn't think of any decent way for the atonement of
sins. He loved the burnt offerings of pathetic animals.
MASOCHIST:
Finally, he himself become Jesus and tortured and killed in the most gruesme manner being an offering himself.
But he was megalomaniac also. So, He announced this act as--GOD
So LOVED the world(He's so COOL).... etc. and if you don't accept him cool--his sadistic oven is waiting for you.

Fundamentalism used to represent just a curious bunch on the fringes of American Christianity. Now (outside of the Roman Catholic Church) fundamentalism practicallly defines Christianity in America.
What do NON-fundamentalist Christians do when their faith has been hijacked from them?
Do you feel a pressure to join with the fundamentalist belief system?
If not, how do you struggle against it?
How do you handle being told that you are not truly a Christian?

Imagine a pedophile rapes and kills a child, but is repentant and finds jesus. He is put to death on the electric chair.

But because he's repentant and believes in the lord, he goes to heaven. Are he and his rape victim reunited in heaven?

Can you tell me who wrote this poem although there are differnt versions of it?

in deepest sleep one night i dreamed
that on the beach i walked
God was by my side each step
and quietly we talked.
then on the sky my life was flashed;
the vivions all serene.
two sets of footprints in the sand
were there in every scene.
but then i noticed in some scenes
of suffering, pain, and strife...
just a single set of footprints
at the worst times of my life.
"God...you said you'd stay by me
in good times and in bad...
why then did you leave me
each time my life was sad?"
"My precious child," God answered
"when your life had pain, i knew;
the single set of footprints
were the times I carried you"

(I love this poem!)

If people who are not Jehovah's witnesses realize that something ain't right and that the "END IS NEAR" as quoted on CNN. Then why is it that people who are ex JW's and KNOW the truth get on here and make comments like "the society has been saying deliverance at hand for years. Yeah,... but never before has the rest of the world been talking about it as much as they have been. If you say they have then your just in denial, and Satan has a firm grip on your heart. People!! Armmegedon is close very close. It is not too late to get right and back on track. For years it was always beleived that if your'e an apostate that their's no hope. But thats not so Jehovah knows that we are all imperfect and welcomes all back w/ open arms exp..prodical son.So please stop being a tool of satan and get yourself right with Jehovah. Before you are the ones weeping and knashing your teeth. Just imagine the fear and despair you'll have when you know it's too late. But for now it's not, so DO something NOW!

Today, its a little tougher to claim to be a "prophet" and get a massive flock of sheep to follow you mindlessly, although it still happens. But back in the day, it was easy as pie. Every fool facing death daily with constant war, disease and super short life spans was trying to cope with their fear of death and religion was the best drug availble.

Todays snake-oil salesmen can only rob us of a few bucks, but back then, they were called "prophets" and when they took advantage of peoples fears to hoist themselves into power or turn a quick buck, the implications were much bigger...and dog gonnitt...we are still living with it today!

Imagine your God and you want to communicate your intentions to people...now...isnt the last meduim you would use...another human being!!!

I would zap my code into their head or program it into their genes. I would not leave it for another human to convey because this would embolden a billion other frauds claiming to be a prophet.

I just took a personality test. According to the results, I am hedonistic, vain, self absorbed, dislike authority, plus a lot more unlikable characteristics about me. How can I become a better person?

..who has lived a good life cannot go to heaven unless he accepts Jesus? I understand about the whole true repentance thing, but surely it isnt fair? I'm sure i could have asked that question better, but i genuinely would like a serious answer to this.

WE are to occupy till the Lord snatches us away like the bible and the Petra song says, then you can have it....at least for the next seven years, till our Lord returns for the third coming and throws you into the eternal deep fry, praise the holy name of Jesus! Remember, God IS love, but it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Angry God! Turn or burn, get right or get left. It's your choice, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! If you feel convicted right now, just ask on yahoo how to be saved and one of my many brethren will be glad to lead you to the Lord and Salvation.

Just because we don't read the bible or attend church does not mean we do not have an understanding of Christian faiths, it just means that we chose to live our lives differently, but not necessarily much different to Christians, or in an "evil" way.

(just curious) : Christians knows if things are immorally wrong or right by reading their bible. For the Moslems their source is the Quran. The Buddhist has their own book too. For the atheist, i wonder what are the basis to tell if something is immoral or not, right or wrong?

Do atheist depends on what constitusion says on what is illegal or not illegal? like if it is not illegal then its not wrong right?
(just curious---no offense)

Atheists--any comments???

If God loves the sinner(who remained a sinner and died with sins) why will he let him suffer in hell for eternity? What is the sign of his love for a person whom you consider to be an ultimate sinner(who died without being a Christian) after that person's death?

i am so tired of people knocking born-again Christians. one day, though, it will be worth it—for our work is not in vain! Christ said they would treat us bad!
to all those people who laugh at every word that born-again Christians say, I have a challenge. we the born-again Christians love to see you laugh. that just makes us born-again Christians more intelligent.

so, to all those who laugh at every word we say, I challenge you all. the God of the born-again believers wrote the Bible. the Bible has 773,692 words in it. I want all the nonbelievers to laugh 773,692 times consecutively. why do I want you all to do this? simple. you laugh at every word we say, so laugh at every word our God says. in the end though, when the world is destroyed, God will be the one to laugh that final laugh, He will laugh at Satan and all of his lost followers. so, where would you like to spend eternity? the "non-smoking" room or the "smoking" room? choose quick, not long remains on the clock!

I mean, did ALL of God's creation get punished for the sins of humankind?

It doesn't seem fair that everything was perfect "in the beginning" and just because humans messed that up, then everything became imperfect. And if it's not imperfect, then why is there a need for change when perfection, by its defintion, does not need to be changed or improved?

For me, I think God is real and loves us. We are All sinners, but I think God gives us blessings even for the smallest things and I think there aren't enough who thank him for it. Many ask for God if they want something, but never had the though of thanking him, even just a thought like "I should pray because God I thank him for....."
like that stuff, I think even if you pray or not, at least you had the thought of thanking God for the other things. You could just talk to him in your head (Like me I believe that since he is God, he know's what I'm thinking so I just thank him in my head) or I pray........I pray because I ask for forgiveness, thank him, and talk to him like a real friend. I talk to him about my issues, my personal experiance and so on. I think if you talk to God how you feel, you will relized that God is just like us. Except the part he is the only "Perfect" one. I think the Bible was made to encourage Man, however time by time Man changes things in the Bible.
