I remember one time waking up from a dream but not being able to move, I could see above me a white light and my body being pushed down,, like someone was on my chest. Felt very tight in my chest and I couldnt talk.. When I tried to talk nothing came out... WHAT HAPPENED?

In acient times in order for religious leaders to maintain and keep people conditioned to follow and believe in religion; the idea of heresy and blasphemy was invented. Invented so that anyone who expressed a lack of belief, or expressed any type of point of view that showed that they did not believe in god or religion they were punished under both or either of these so called laws.
Do you agree or disagree with this idea?
Also a second question
Do you feel that the extreme religious groups would like to bring back both blasphamy and heresy in an attempt to ensure that people stay conditioned to believe in religion and hinder those of us who express our ideas and thoughts that go against it?

The plan was to kill everyone on board, sink the ship, blame it on Egypt and use the incident as an excuse to invade Egypt by the U.S.We now know that the "Gulf of Tonkin Incident" was a total fraud. No Vietnamese vessel attacked any American ship, although the American ships were firing on them.
Recently, politically oriented terrorists in England and Spain have planted explosives under passenger rail cars and then tried to blame the carnage on bombs in the backpacks of alleged terrorists. To head off a related right-wing coup in Spain, the citizens successfully organized a general strike.9-11 and the English subway bombing were situations in which "terror drills" were used as a cover for terrorist incidents carried out by US and British military and blamed on foreigners.The ugliest related incident in England involved a total innocent who was followed, trapped, shot eleven times in the head and lied-about. Video footage reveals he did nothing wrong or suspicious at all. British Intelligence just had some reason to wish him dead. He may have learned too much or have seen something.

What is the worth of a single Iraqi life?

The New York Times reported that during recent months a hundred Iraqis die violently every day, 3,000 every month. In terms of size of population, that is the equivalent of 300,000 Americans a month, 10,000 every day. Yet the typical television clip on the evening news -- an explosion, automatic weapon fire, dead bodies on the streets -- has become as much a cliche as the weather report or another loss by the Cubs. The dead Iraqis are of no more value to us than artificial humans in video games. The Iraqis seem less than human, pajama-wearing people with dark skin, hate in their eyes, and a weird religion, screaming in pain over their losses. Weep with them, weep for them?

Why bother?

Rarely do Americans tell themselves that the United States of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, is responsible for this slaughter. In a spasm of arrogance and power, we destroyed their political and social structure .

I'm ex army and college. I read a lot of books and I watch a lot of CNN. Every time I turn on the TV, All I see is destruction, and this breaks my heart. I even turn on the local news here in Dallas and I see all of the evil here, Houston, San Antonio, and all over the Nation. All I see and is pain and suffurage. All of this Iraq crap, and other wars all over the world. I know god spared my life in combat and helped me get over shooting the enemy in combat but man, all of this is unnessassary. Growing up I use to want to be a preacher but now Im numb. No love, no anger, just numbness. I haven't prayed to God in over 2 yrs, because I felt he ignored my prayers and wishes. I've learned to sew my feelings by listening to Morrissey and the Smiths, and I learned to harden my heart by listening to Tupac throughout the years. Why do we suffer. Why did my mother suffer until she was murdered at 25. Where was God the one she told me to pray to everyday. This is your GOD

In resorting to force, Muslims do not have a problem finding passages in the Quran and Hadith that will not only condone violence, but also demand it.

In the Quran, Allah orders Muslims to terrorize non-Muslims in His behalf:

"Strike terror (into the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies." Surah 8:60

"Fight (kill) them (non Muslims) and Allah will punish (torment) them by your hands, cover them with shame." Surah 9:14

"I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them. It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah." Surah 8:12-17

I'm in love with a Mormon. I'm Catholic. He's from Utah. We met while he was on a mission here in my town. I gave him my information. And we IM each other. We chat a lot. We have talked on the phone a few times already. I'm just wondering, I'm a Catholic and he's Mormon. What could turn out from this? He said he would like to come and see me so I can see him in his regular clothing not with a neck tie and white shirt. So I can see the real him. He is so beautiful and special to me. Is there a such a thing that a Mormon and Caltholic can date? Just curious. Thanks!
