I think religion does matters but not so much, there should be a peace between all peoples. There should be a peaceful / helpful / caring / understanding each others feelings in all humans. All peoples should stay and love each other as they do with their family. All of us should stay like a family. then only there will be a peace on earth.

There will never be true peace between religions. There can be a false peace, marked with uneasiness and an unwillingness to forge trust between the rel. communities. True peace will only exist when Jesus returns and reigns over all the earth.

Arthur C. Clarke the world famous science-fiction author who wrote 2001: A Space Odyssey had predicted that by the year 2000, humanity would have reached the space-age, traveled beyond the solar system and had colonized other planets. Clarke died in march 2008 and his dream remained unfulfilled.
For humanity to be able to spread itself across the galaxy, the society should be perfect. The classes of society upper, lower and middle class should be eliminated. All people are born equal and all die equal.
Humans have blood in them and blood is the same no matter what skin color you are born which. The reason why communism(the one when LENIN ruled Russia - NOT STALIN) was smashed by the west, was to keep the rich ELITE CLASS of society in power. I mean what is wrong with communism, you are given the job you like, you have fewer hours to work and a lot of leisure time to pursue activities like art, drama, music, sport and travel. All world travel would be free. Everyone would have a sort of ration or health card for free food and healthcare. Facilities for the elderly as well would be free. This system I am talking about is the ideal or utopian model of society though about by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
All of humanities efforts should be focused on medicine, ecosystem, terraforming, space technology and exploration.
All religion and social classed should be abolished and focus on humanitarianism should be dominant.
World census and family planning should play a role to ensure that the population should not overburden the resources of the planet. War should be abolished once and for all.
Now the question is what is the purpose of humanity? Answer: 1. to travel the stars discover and make new friends.... 2. to conquer man's greatest foe: death 3. Find new ways to entertain oneself - not necessarily through technological means. Example of these are: art, music, sports, gardening, going for walks, traveling, inviting friends and family over for dinner, birthdays or general get-together-parties.
4. Find sustainable peace. 5. Find a cure to pollution and heal the earth.
If you don't believe in the above and believe in the theory put by Charles Darwin, the world famous naturalist: Survival Of The Fittest. And also Might Makes Right and that only the richest persons should
rule, then humanity will surely head towards doom. In today's world we see the rich getting richer and the poor getting even poorer. A distinct class exists that rules the world and is the cause of all misery on earth.
They are able to end all world poverty due to their unimaginable financial wealth. Yes I am talking about the Elite Class. And once that class is destroyed and their wealth/resources equally distributed to all the poor people of the world, then the world will begin to right itself.
Question: What is poverty? People living in an area where there is little or no resources to support human existence. Do to OVERPOPULATION people are forced to inhabit such areas. Humans as such have no right to populate the whole planet. The majority of the planet should be left uninhabited(left green), and only a few spots on earth should be allowed for settlement. If you think about it there is no such thing as
poverty that humans have not created this hell for themselves.

If human beings loved each other with genuine love, true compassion would be better practiced. For this to happen, you must shed the plated armor that covers your heart and let that heart become sensitive to others' sufferings. Coldness smothers the sentiments of the heart. Christ, you will notice, never avoided or rebuffed anyone who came looking for Him, no matter who they were. He helped the adulterous woman and the criminal, and had no thought that His reputation might suffer as a result. When will you take Him as your model for action? If loved ruled the earth, evil ones wouldn't prevail. They would fade away in shame; they would hide themselves. Everywhere they went, they would feel out of place. This is how evil will one day simply disappear, and you can be quite sure that this will happen.
Begin by being examples yourselves. Be compassionate to everyone without distinction, and try not to pay attention to people who show contempt for you. Leave justice to God, Who separates the wheat from the chaff every day.
Selfishness is a denial of love. Yet without love, human society would find no rest. To take the matter a step further, nothing would be safe. For if selfishness and pride dominated, and they go and in hand, life would be a race in which the winners would always be the most cunning. It would be a war of personal interests in which the holiest and most delicate feelings would be trampled underfoot, and even family ties would go unrespected.

If you had a long lost relative who passed on and left behind a will...... And you had never learned how to read... BUT....... You were included in that will..... To gain lots of inheritance, would you not do all that you had to do in order to read, and understand every last word of what you had to do in order to obtain it.? I say yes we all would......... So, GOD has left an instruction manual so to speak for us to follow... And no it is not easy but true it holds the key to world peace...... Even if hypothetically speaking there were no GOD.... If the rules were followed out all would have plenty but still you are left with death something man can not prevent... Just something to think about. So my own conclusion is yes, we need one religion, one faith and one language and that my friend is the language of truth. And the inheritance is life on earth... Free of wickedness and death.....

yes, and not necessarily a common belief, but just a common realization that every religion has its own beliefs and each is entitled to them (except martyrdom of those more fortunate for the supposed glorification of their "god")

we would probably just find something else to fight about, but i think it would make life a lot easier if there were harmony between all religion.
