No, I think it just confirms that chemicals released when the body is near death create marvelous hallucinations.

Yes I know for a fact that there is an afterlife. My father passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I have received signs from him. My son seen his grandfather 3 times. So yes I believe the people that have had Near Death Experiences do confirm there is an afterlife. Not only because they have experienced it, Because I have received beautiful signs from the afterlife from my father.

Drowned - was dead for 2 minutes and brought back,

Car accident - head through window,

12 gauge double barrel shotgun - went off one to two inches from my face,

Electrocution - faulty 440 arch welder

None of these things which I've experienced in my life brought about any information regarding life after death. It simply wasn't my time to go, my purpose(s) here this time around haven't been fulfilled yet. Stop wasting precious time thinking about and worrying about death and/or what may or may not be after it! You're alive now! Enjoy it the best you can and try to help others do the same.

Sadly NO. So called "Afterlife" experiences or NDEs where humans talk about the tunnel of darkness with the white light at the end are amazingly Exactly like the stories Test Pilots tell about losing consciousness in the G-Force accelerator device they use to train for combat pilot training. When all the blood drains out of your brain, whether due to your death or the excessive G-forces of giant centrifuge, you will experience a dark tunnel with a white light at the end. When you get there you will be dead. Dead and gone. Deal with it.

I'm not sure I entirely understand the question...are you asking if people who have NDEs are/have confirmation of an afterlife?

If so...not necessarily. The brain does a lot of things when "shutting down", like randomly firing synapses and the like. Some people fashion it into a religious experience, others don't.

There's some very intriguing empirical evidence to that effect. Have a look at the text cited below.

All the "scientific" atheists will doubtless be displaying their lack of scientific acumen by denying the validity of NDEs a priori. Why is that? Does a scientist dismiss evidence a priori because it challenges his/her worldview? Just goes to show once again that "science" also has its faith commitments. (See the second text below.)

existence here interior the universe is the real deal and once you're long previous, you're long previous. Being lifeless is the comparable as no longer being alive and you weren't alive in the past you have been born. that's what it is going to likely be like after dying. Accepting this actuality is an rather freeing experience and the human beings that do, are the human beings taking section in the superb that existence can grant.

No. Even if you believe in an afterlife, what you would learn from NDEs is that the afterlife is subjective, as people invariably exprience what their preconceptions woul lead them to experience in NDEs. Budhhists don't see Jesus. Christians don't see Vishnu, etc.

I think some NDE's do point in that direction.

For discussion of Near Death Experiences (and references to studies regarding NDEs), see http://www.godsci.org/gsi/doxa/god/args/28_NDE.html

Cordially,
