Selective believing. There are those who chose to only believe in a loving and forgiving God, neglecting the fact that God is also a just God.

I've never known any Christians who follow the teachings of the Bible to believe they will go to Hell. I guess if they're Christians and they don't follow the teachings of the Bible, other Christians think they will go to Hell, but they themselves think they won't. I don't know why. It doesn't make sense.

But then, the concept of Hell doesn't make sense either. Why would God engage in such a waste of energy of such cosmic proportions to have all these millions of "bad" human beings and demons and devils and suchlike running around wreaking havoc on each other in some wasteland dimension somewhere, and wasting energy on something as selfish and self-absorbed and puerile as "punishment," when he could simply recycle all of it and create of it something new?

Maybe to the human ego, that IS Hell--being destroyed to free the Divine Spark to return to source to be recycled and recreated.

God is the original hippie--He recycles. ;-)

Let me start by stating that I am theist; I believe there is a God. I am also a Christian because I believe that the Christian bible is God's word as spoken by the prophets. For me, the Christian bible is a tool; it is meant for believers. The Christian bible is not a manual for conversion. In fact, there is no proof of God's existence in its pages; it is assumed.

I can go on about the Christian message. In a nutshell: God kept his promise in Jesus (the name Jesus means God helps/saves/delivers); Jesus was executed and God raised him from the dead (our hope for eternal life); and Jesus will return.

Here are some biblical revelation: God is spirit, and we worship in spirit and in truth. Heaven is where God is and hell is where God isn't. Earth is where man is. The Christian belief is how man gets to God.

Now to answer your question: God, not man, judges. This is exactly what the bible states. If you want criteria on how Christian should live, see 1 Cor 10:23-24.

No christians are believing as you said. What they believes, if we are not doing or following God's word, will get enough from God after death. It is clearly explained in Revelation Chapter 20 versus 4 - 6. That is first death. God is still giving the chance to the sin people to comeback to him. Even after he started the ruling over all. Everything is clearly explained in Revelation and Bible.

Many "Christians" do not claim the scriptures that Christ has given us that when we have truly given our hearts to the Lord in full repentance that our salvation is secure and that if we fail in any small way, the Holy Spirit will quickly condemn us and we will desire a quick forgiveness for Christ and make amends. However many believe that if they've ever said, Jesus I believe in you, then they are saved, and this is not true either, because Christ also made it very clear that if we are his, there will be obviously seen results in our life that others will know we are Christs'. So, there will be many who will face judgment believing they are entitled to heaven, but have been fooled by their own blindness and deafness and they will say Lord, Lord, but he will say depart from me. This is why it is important that we spend time daily with the Lord in prayer, in his Word, and in his service - because as we give ourselves to the Lord our hearts desires truly become the desires he plants within us - and the knowledge in our heads is wonderful, but the peace and joy in our hearts is outstanding and beyond description.

As a Christian, I don't believe that any of us are safe until God says we are allowed to enter the pearly gates. He has the final say. Besides, God knew that we were gonna mess up. That is why he makes us feel guilty and repent. Just because we are Christians doesn't mean we are perfect. Anyone that thinks they are.... they are obviously not a true Christian.

Good question!

hahha..... the bible did not say such a thing in its teaching. In fact, if they continue to sin, they are not following the teaching of the bible and they do not repent. So it might be just their wishful thinking. These people are more of a part time christain.

well u have misunderstood the bible. Jesus Christ died because of the sins of our forefathers. So now he has the right to send someone to heaven or hell. Now according to the Bible...only those who feel for their sins....who are terribly sorry for their sins and those who repent with a pure heart...will get forgiveness...so that they don't commit sin again and they are chosen to spread the word of god and love.

Now there are also some sins that are mortal sins...i.e. even chirst can not forgive u...e.g. saying bad against the HOLY SPIRIT.

IF u have committed sin...but u don't feel ashamed of it...if ur heart is not pure...but u repent....still u'll have a confirmed ticket to HELL!

John 14 1-4 Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in me. In my fathers house are many mansions. I am going there now to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, you can know that I will come back for you, so that where I am there you may also be.

Part of what it means to have faith is to have trust. The more I learn about Jesus the more I know that I can trust him. This is not because I am better than anyone. I am nothing. It is because he is better than everyone. He is perfect. If I had to rely on myself or whether or not I deserved it, I would be in big trouble. My faith is not in me. It is in him.

Everyone believes they are a good person and overlooks their own sin. Even Al Capone considered himself a good person.

This is not an exact quotation but in the Bible it states that on judgement day many will face God and tell him about all the good they done and God will reply "I never knew you."
