Its possible, but religious differences will probably get in the way.
He may try to convert you, but keep your faith.
Even if he's not trying right now, he may start in the future.
Pray about your decision, God will help guide you. Talk to a priest about it too, if you feel comfortable doing so.
Jesus Christ died for your sins and as a Catholic you know that. Remember who you are and never change for a man.

It's possible. You are not required to convert, but the problem is that most mormons have a testimony that their church is true and they are happy. They want to make other people happy (hence the missionary work), so if you're not strong in your faith (or even if you are) he will want you to convert so you will know the happiness he knows. He's not going to try to "recruit" you.
Also, I believe one other post said that it is forbidden in the LDS faith. It's not, it's discouraged though as it is in Catholicism and any other faith just because it causes conflicts especially when you have kids. It's just easier.
The relationship can happen if you really want it, but there will be issues with religion. It's unavoidable, so the most you can do is try to keep it at a low. I wish you luck and will pray for the both of you, because it sounds like a good relationship. :) God bless.

I see where you're coming from. There are quite a few differances between Catholic and Mormon (ie. Jesus being God, heaven, if we can become Gods, what happens after death, etc) Persoanlly I would have a hard time dating a mormon because I am very strong in what I believe being protestant. You can do what ever you would like, but I dont think it would be in your best interest. I believe the bible says it is not good to date outside of your religion, but it isnt a unforgivable sin either as long as you stay with what you believe.

im amazed at how people can make up this crap about mormons.
The only problem with dating him tho is that u will prolly get in fights about religion. So if u want to convert him or u become a convert to the mormon faith then u should be good. if not then then just get ready for constant battles about religion

Hey..We are in the modern world..Youngters like us should not get into the religions based thoughts..There were plenty of thoughts which makes people to think and act rapidly. With that vision, there will not be any religion in the world other than human in next 40 years. Please remember, our next generation will break all the wrong belief of religions. Religions talks about only the values of spirit and humanity. So both you should be very strong enough to come to the conclution that we will face the challenge of the reality. Always new things takes time to come to effect. Be patient and cool to pass this phase. Life is challenge, you got to face all those opportunities comes your way...Don't think these are the problems..You have real love, it will not talk about religions , it will look for your better perspective of future..You should love and serve is very much important..To have good life partner , you should have ATS between both of you. ATS is Adjustment, Tolerance and Sacrifice..I would suggest both you to follow single religion called "Humanity" instead of x,y,z
Let me bless you to have a Good Life..Be Blessed

I thought Catholics disapproved of dating outside the Catholic Church.
I have heard of many different religions dating.

your churches wont like it, and they will both set up a fuss if it ever came to marriage, you will make enemies of each others families, but there is no law about it, so whatever you want, be ready for the fur to fly

It can happen. If you get really serious, well, there are differences in doctrine that you may or not be able to resolve.
A Catholic can get a dispensation from his/her bishop to marry a non-Catholic Christian brother or sister.
Mormons may be a bit more inflexible if they are very committed to their beliefs.
Good luck.

You could certainly DATE him. I think you should seriously study his faith. The Mormon faith is pretty bizarre by Judeo-Christian standards. If things ever get serious you should know what you're getting into.

There isn't any reason why you cannot date, just realize that you will have trouble with religious tension between you... and if you get married and have kids it will only get worse.
