I grew up like Jesus my mother a virgin,( meaning no father to help birth me), I was raised in the church, I studied the scriptures, I lived in communion with my people. Me and other children my age, But I don't live like that now, I smoke, I drink and I have had pre-marital sex, so does this mean that I'm not holy does this mean that still can't turn around my life, and become somthing great. Can I still save this world from Sin, Yes becasue God is a forgiving God,
Think About It Before You Answer please, The answer has to come from the heart and not the brain, Your answer needs to have some substance.

"Do you think Jesus liked cupcakes?"

My question was removed and I don't think that it was called for. I want my question back!

I know it's a bit silly, but seriously, someone reported this?!?!?

I find that the only way people really learn is when they ask the questions. It seems they have to be ready to accept a new truth themselves or a defensive shield gets put up immediately. Almost like they have to be curious and discover and discern concepts on their own accord. Just a recent observation. It has been working lately for me, but I still plant seeds.(very subtley).

...if they were not allowed to preach to children?

And please spare us the "suffer the little children to come unto me" speech. If a law were passed that made it illegal for any religion to preach to children, it only permitted a religion to preach to adults, would the population of religious people drop, increase, or stay the same (and why do you believe your answer correct)?

- Find an attractive prisoner of war, bring her home, shave her head, trim her nails, and give her new clothes. Then she's yours. (Deuteronomy 21:11-13)
- Find a prostitute and marry her. (Hosea 1:1-3)
- Find a man with seven daughters, and impress him by watering his flock. (Moses -- Exodus 2:16-21)
- Purchase a piece of property, and get a woman as part of the deal. (Boaz -- Ruth 4:5-10)
- Go to a party and hide. When the women come out to dance, grab one and carry her off to be your wife. (Benjaminites -- Judges 21:19-25)
- Have God create a wife for you while you sleep. Note: this will cost you. (Adam -- Genesis 2:19-24)
- Agree to work seven years in exchange for a woman's hand in marriage. Get tricked into marrying the wrong woman. Then work another seven years for the woman you wanted to marry in the first place. That's right. Fourteen years of toil for a wife. (Jacob -- Genesis 29:15-30)

You people think God is cruel cause he set up laws in the Old Testement that was mean as you say. God brought swift judgment to those who was wrong doers. If you didnt follow the law then God told what was to happen to them and their families. Then you say we dont use the Old Testement no longer, well your wrong. If you would please read Galatians 2:14, Galatians 3:13, Galatians 3:17-25. This is some of the scriptures that shows you we are no longer under the law and that we do not condone killing people. Folks before you make judgment against Christians trying reading the word of God so you know what your talking about. So the question is, whens the last time you read God's word? Not just part of it but all of it.

I keep seeing athisest post that they are moral because they want to be, kind because they choose, nice and adjusted. I keep seeing over and over how atheist see themselves as nice, good people, without God. But, yet they continue to call believers ignorant, intolerant, lazy, uneducated, stupid, and crude, and when some respond back in the like sort, they claim they are the kind ones, and its the Christians that are mean. Come on! How ignorant do you think Christians are, when we KNOW you are provoking us, trying only to look superior, when you very actions speak that you are not what you say you are! Are you not a hypocrite, and also as wrong as Christians that act that way? Dont claim to be nice, we know you arent.

The Presidential Prayer Team has urged us to: "Pray for the President as he seeks wisdom on how to legally codify the definition of marriage. Pray that it will be according to biblical principles. With many forces insisting on variant definitions of marriage, pray that God's Word and His standards will be honored by our government."

Any good religious person believes prayer should be balanced by action. So here, in support of the Prayer Team's admirable goals, is a proposed Constitutional Amendment codifying marriage entirely on biblical principles:

If religion of any kind is great, why does it cause so many problems? Shouldn't we share the "Holyland" not blow it to an oblivion? Shouldn't we follow the moral's of our religion and not twist them? Shouldn't anyone be able to follow what they believe without being ridiculed or persecuted? Isn't everyone equal? Why, because someone has a different denomination, they are not given the same opportunity to reach salvation as those of the same denomination? Should people be prejudice towards the religion of a person or the morals of a person?

I keep hearing folks refer to a "Christian God". Do Christians worship a God different than the God of Abraham, whom Hebrews and Muslims also worship?

What is the difference, great or subtle, that I am missing here?

*If you choose to respond, I ask that you explain how this God is "Christian" from within Christian teachings; please refrain from simply using "their God is not our God" claims*

This was a sign that had been on someones gate for 30 years, it had been put there because the owners of the house were disturbed by Jehovah's witnesses on xmas day 30 years ago.
Police have ordered the couple to take down the sign because they had recieved 1 complaint a few days ago.
Personally i think it's wrong for them to take it down, it just seems that society as a whole has lost it's sense of humour and is too quick to jump up and down on people for the pettiest of reasons in the name human rights!

What do you think????

my mom was telling me that there will be a war between good and bad. God and Satan. Everyone on Earth will ge on one side or the other and fight against eachother. Then, this world will be gone and a new one will start up again. how is this possible? I didnt know that God could come down from Heaven to fight against all evil in the world. If this is true, even though I dont know how it is, will I have to fight against people I love who dont believe in God? Please help me understand.

First, those of you who say Christians are either brainwashed or just gullible...you're wrong! I choose to believe in God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Bible as God's word through faith. I don't need any more proof that there is a God than I needed proof to believe the things I was taught in kindergarden by a mere human. I believe because I feel a purpose in life as a result of my faith and my beliefs, I enjoy fellowship with others and know that it gives me strength and peace to do so, not because I'm afraid or because I feel I have to prove anything to anyone. I agree that there are so-called Christians who point fingers and ridicule those who do not believe as they do and that is wrong. God tells us to share gently and with love His grace and mercy, not point fingers and judge. God is to be the judge! The existence of God cannot be proven in a laboratory or through the complicated mechanisms of logic. Neither can love, nor beauty, nor happiness, but that does not mean they are not real. In the same way, just because you cannot "prove" that God exists as you can prove a chemical formula, it does not mean that He is not real. It only means you are using the wrong tools.
