In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Buddy, you need some time with me...the Bible is Fact and the facts were found in Africa and in the Middle East. They are still digging up facts to this day. Satan is the one that makes you feel that way because he is this darn looser who is burning in hell. Why not try to take away ones means of happiness. Here is a tip. When reading the Bible chose only ONE chapter. Then see if any thing in it makes sense. Then you will see as you read (try the New Internation Bible because the KJV is hard to understand), that the Bible is Down to Earth, Logical and Encourages good Living practices. Do this for Me sweety, read 1st Corinthians 13 and tell me how you feel. Its in the new Testament, tell me if that is how you feel or read Psalms 91...Good luck Email me if you do at muy_bonita18@yahoo.com.mx

2 Corinthians 4:4 "among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."
Satan is "the god of this system of things." So yes, he is the reason that the Bible sounds like rubbish to you.

yes you are being deceived because God does exsist and he loves everyone on this planet. Satan believes in God and he tries to tempt people into staying away from God. the Bible is true and God does exsist.

The bible was probably written by the government or a big corporation to make money and brainwash all of us.

Found in Africa, probably planted there earlier by the corporatins or government, was there a camera rolling at the time and was the camera rolling 24 hours a day everyday.

Yes. But Satan isn't a real being. Satan means accuser, so you're right on with seeing that misinterpretations of certain Biblical passages sound like "rubbish", because they are accusations; satanic.

Your heart is cold and not receptive to letting Jesus Christ in. Satan may have a hand in it. But the choice is obvisouly yours. All you have to do is accept the Wonderful gift that Jesus gave all of us. Confess with your mouth that he is lord, repent for you sins and ask for forgivness. After you do that you'll be on your way to leading a life that will take you to paradise.
