1 Cor. 6:9-10
Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, [10] thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers—none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God.

1 Cor. 6:18
Run away from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

{Now.....can a homosexual go to heaven? According to the Word of God the answer if "no". However, if they ask for forgiveness and repent and stop the sin then......}

1 Cor. 6:11
There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you.

What's required to go to heaven is to have trust in Christ for salvation. However, if someone is living in a state of sin, you must question if they are really trusting Christ because they are not following His commands. Of course, Christians aren't perfect so they do sin, but they should be ever repenting of that sin and growing in God!

I don't believe that there are christians who are gay... The bible says that anyone who is joined to Christ is a new creation... the old is gone and behold the new has come. Commiting sin is different form living in sin.

This is a tough question...any you'll probably dislike my answer so please just be courteous...

If a person has accepted Christ into their life they go to heaven. However, if that person renounces Christ by their actions, they are rescinding that acceptance and they would not go at that point. (I do not believe in the once saved, always saved philosophy obviously).

So, to that end, if a person who practices homosexuality claims Christ they would need to stop practicing their homosexuality.

And DougDoug...God commands us not to lie with other men so you are incorrect Biblically.

Like I said, my view presented in courtesy.

If he has confessed his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

All Christians when making it to heaven will be judged according to what we have done, and according to what we have known and obeyed or not obeyed.

What happens at that point is up to God.

If he/she has repented and turned away from the sinful practices of homosexuality. If he/she has asked for forgiveness of acting on that sinful nature, and has been obedient to God's Word. Absolutely.

If you have decided to NOT sin, as opposed to deciding TO sin, then you are a child of God.

Yes, and I don't think that have to refrain from having "homosexual behavior" because even though your not supposed to have sex before marriage, you don't have the choice (in America) to get married. God made you gay, so he wouldn't send you to hell for it.

yes, but I would hope that they would refrain from homosexual behavior. The only thing that makes a person a homosexual is engaging in the behavior, being tempted doesn't make you a homosexual, otherwise Jesus would've been a sinner when he was tempted by Satan

Jesus never said, "Don't be gay"

That was Leviticus, right next to "don't wear mixed fabrics", "don't eat pork", and "execute a disobedient child"
