Ok take a deep breath. For as long as we have existed there has been good and bad. God is not going to come down from heaven and destroy everything he has worked so hard to create. Look around you and see what is happening in the world........... there is always a war that is being fought for the good of something against what is making it bad. Your mom is taking her information from the bible yes but do remember that the bible is over two thousand years old and things arent like they used to be. God is not going to blow up the earth and destroy it and you are not going to have to personally fight against those you love that dont believe in God. Take a deep breath and go on living your every day life

Do not worry my dear. Your mom only believes this because that's what she was taught as a child. The bible has some good moral values but I honestly can not say in my heart that God would send the people are good and kind, to burn in hell for eternity just because they are not Christian. With that said, there will be no war, only the ones that remain within the human race. As long as humans exist, some sort of war will continue. As long as opinion reigns, there are going to be conflicts. Just relax and enjoy your life to the fullest. No one is going to make you become a warrior to fight of this "Satan" figure.

I think you should talk a little more with you mom about.
It is in the Bible, the book of Revelations. The 'bad' guys will take over on Earth, God and his army will fight them. Chances are, you wont actually be fighting against anyone you know. These 'bad' people will be truly truly bad people, not just mean, but truly evil, they will be working with Satan.
Its difficult to understand, but I encourage you to talk to you mom more, and then make your OWN choice as to whether or not its true.

First of alll, maybe your mom doesn't have full understanding, but you should keep talking to her about it because I believe she has wisdom. The Bible talks about honoring your parents, so that is the place to start. First of all there will not be a fight between God and satan, because Jesus won when He died on the cross. There are alot of different opinions about when this battle will be, but I believe that God will come for His children before any of this happens. There is one God, Jesus Christ, He died for all our sins and will save the world. The internet may not be the best source of info to learn more about God. God calls us for a personal relationship, I believe that if you talk to God he will speak clearly and open your eyes to see and He will bring peace to your soul. Jesus loves you. You will be in my prayers.

It is just plain nonsense, pure and simple. It is good that you question such things. You are correct in observing that it doesn't make any sense.
Faith is a substitute for evidence. Belief is a substitute for knowledge. Neither faith nor belief are sufficient to sustain reason... they are only sufficient to sustain willful ignorance and delusion.
What your mother is relating to you are nothing more than the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders. Part and parcel with this nonsense are beliefs in such things as:
*Â Â a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*Â Â solid 'firmmament' structure (the sky) seperating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*Â Â talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
*Â Â shepherd staff turning into an asp
*Â Â demons chased out of people and into pigs
*Â Â friendly spirits
*Â Â evil spirits
*Â Â walking on water
*Â Â multiplying loaves and fishes
*Â Â food falling from the sky
*Â Â conception by a ghost
*Â Â people raising from the dead
*Â Â the sun stopping in its tracks
*Â Â parting seas
*Â Â people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*Â Â world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*Â Â creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*Â Â magical tree of knowledge
*Â Â god speaking from a burning bush
*Â Â ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker
It is quite evident that in a sane world, if someone were to go around asserting that ANY of those things represented an innate 'truth' pertaining to the nature of existence and reality, that person would end up being locked up in the 'State Farm for the Funny'. Oddly, though, MASS insanity seems to convey some sort of automatic immunity along with it, since hundreds of millions of people assert ALL of these things to be true, and nobody thinks anything of it (well... SOME of us do). Not only are these people NOT locked up, but it is considered to be bad manners... politically incorrect... 'intolerant'... to even call attention to the obvious insanity of these ideas. Yet approximately 62% of the adult population of the USA is INFECTED by what seems to be some sort of insidious brain virus, that is transmitted in the form of information.
How can this NOT be seen as a major problem... considering that this insane belief system has been DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for such historical aberrations as the Dark Ages and such atrocities as the Inquisition, the Salem Witch trials, the Crusades...? (the list goes on, and on, and on.)
So, how is it that the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders have come to represent some kind of cosmic 'TRUTH'... without the least bit of credible evidence?
Rational people have the moral duty and ethical responsibility to intervene to protect vulnerable minds from being contaminated by Bronze Age myths and wilful ignorance, for the sake of our nation, the world and humanity.

I don't believe in god
Does not mean I'm evil.
Just pretending this did happen, I would not fight you. That makes me not believe the story right there.
